I would not trust the Facebook groups. They also are saying that the park is going to open stuff in Italy which I'm told is not currently planned.

Yeah, definitely not declaring them as gospel, but I do think it would be weird to not run other rides in Germany, and if there’s a suggestion (likely through staff) that those might be among the operational rides, I figure it’s worth considering. I would say that an increase in kid-friendly attractions would imply they’re not planning on following the SWSD model, as kids likely wouldn’t get their money’s worth on a Food/Wine type experience.

You should still get free months later after the park has reopened and you have finished your initial EZpay commitment.
There is no promise I can find on the BG site about it, and "the email" was long ago. That is understood, I decided it would be worth it, at least if they aren't done yet.

It was asked and answered several times by the park on FB when the event announcement was made. As of Coasters and Brews you are still accumulating credit for payments that are made that will be applied to either after the park fully reopens or after your Ezpay committment is over which ever comes later.

So I had a few thoughts on this:
#1 - While BGW/SEAS hasn't been the best at getting the word out as to what's going on, I believe that the different parks doing different things is making it harder to just say 'here's what happening'.
#2 - The differences in passes/memberships, legacy/current also makes it hard to communicate how to handle what happens with your EZ-Pay plan.
#3 - And mind you this isn't you @horseboy , but I think A LOT of people are jumping the gun on the whole "they are screwing us" thing. What and see how all these parks play things out. At this point CF basically had you pre-fund your pass for them. Sounds like some parks that are open aren't extending the pass (seriously check in on some things for other parks, Hersheypark is getting ripped by some people); some parks paused payments, others also continued to take payments and haven't made what you get for it clear (SF feels like one).

The last one bothers me the most. Has BGW earned this goodwill that we should buy what they say with no question? Absolutely not. But to condemn them for something that has/hasn't happened yet is getting old. From this, to the change over in passes, to the liens at Pantheon's construction....it's all becoming tiring to hear constant negative remarks against the park.

I would also be wary about what your hear front line team members saying. They are often some of the very last people to actually know what's going on in the park and are notorious for spreading untrue rumors. They likely have little to no idea what is actually going to be happening and instead are just passing along someone's guess that they heard.

I'm not saying it isn't worth discussing but they frequently take for gospel what low level team member would say when in reality these people have no idea they just do what they are told.

So in San Diego they are charging members $30 and regular guests $75. So basically what they are saying is that the lanyard is worth $30. If you take away the lanyard and other perks then the pricing is similar to BGW.

Honestly the more I look at it I think that this could be a good idea if handled correctly. It would serve as a disincentive to book a reservation and not show up.

They most likely would be better off offering a set of food vouchers for $30 hoping that members buy in rather than forcing every member to pay $30 to get in.
That would keep members happy and still generate more revenue than they would have otherwise.

I wasn't a member then either, so was that said to me? That would be awesome but I can't say I didn't know about COVID being a thing. But it's not like I can go to KD so hopefully it will still be worth it.

Did not realize you were a recent member. No idea on if that applies to recent purchases. I know that CF applied their policy to passes purchased after the Covid announcement so it's possible that Busch will do so to but I don't know for sure.
