...I really wish the Busch family would get possession of this park back and clean house in upper management to get BGW back where it belongs.

I would not count on the Busch family for anything. All they care about is money, if that were not true they would still be running the park and AB and kingsmill. Even if they had the money to buy the parks back I seriously doubt they would. And if they did it would still not be like old times, they would need to make money from them now since they would no longer be a marketing tool / tax write off.

My opinion is it was more of "The Fourth's" fault. I felt the elder Busch's held pride for the park. But the family had lost most of the stock for their own company by the end, Plus, father and son didn't get along. Kind of like he took the money and ran. The park was just collateral damage. I'm not an insider present fact, nor in the know. Just how I felt about it.

Sadly, Zach is most likely correct.

Really? Personally, I think most people/the GP would take this over Entwined.
That said, KD could benefit f
rom more of his full-fledged shows like this.

From what I was able to watch, though the sets were very minimal that was a VERY well executed show, from production to talent.

This show had the strongest cast (in overall talent) of performers at KD since Cedar Fair took over in 2006. Kings Dominion tries to showcase "local" performers and requests that, the entertainment production company doing the casting, try to cast folks from the region. About 1/3 of the cast of "On Broadway" are from VA (One from VA Beach, 2 or 3 folks from the Richmond metro area, and 1-2 people from Northern VA). Other cast members came from Orlando, FL - New York, NY - Boston, MA - PA - NJ, etc.

One person from this cast has already gotten a job in a national touring show and will be performing in the US and Canada for the next 10 months. Others are back in New York city auditioning for shows.

1/3 of the "On Broadway" cast will be performing in the Haunt shows this fall (new show at the KD theater "Into Darkness" or the show "Uprising" on the Intl. Street stage; along with about 1/2 of the "Got Country" and "Pop Fusion" cast). Another 1/3 of the cast members, for these 2 Haunt shows, appear to be new.

KD stated 5 shows for the 2013 Halloween Haunt. I assume 2 shows will be children oriented. The 2 shows above and maybe "Blood Drums" is coming back for its 3rd year.

Back on topic, you are more than welcome to hang onto Scott! Cedar Fair is slowly but surely getting their S&*t together when it comes to entertainment. That is one monkey wrench we don't need!!

Plus, if Scott moved on, 99% of the melodrama on here would dry up and I would get bored. :p

This seems like the most appropriate place to drop this,

Work with award winning world-class producers, directors, choreographers, composers, writers and designers from current Broadway, London, Film and Television productions.

Creative Team members include: Sam Buntrock (Director-Sunday in the Park With George), Matt West (Choreographer-Beauty and the Beast, Performer-A Chorus Line), Lisa Shriver (Choreographer-Jesus Christ Superstar, Polar Express, Phish), Karma Camp (Choreographer-Kennedy Center, Fords Theatre, Signature Theatre, Lincoln Center), Ken Billington (Chicago, Sweeney Todd, Radio City Music Hall, Smash), Toni-Leslie James (Costume Designer-Lucky Guy, Scottsboro Boys), Dana Kenn (Set Designer-The Phantom of the Opera), Jason Kantrowitz (Producer-Busch Gardens, SeaWorld, Great Adventure, National Geographic Society, PBS, Designer-[title of show], Disney’s Fantasmic, Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo, Voyage of the Little Mermaid).

How many of those famous people actually enjoyed working with the park or still work with the park?

I can say some people on that list are trying to remove their name and are making sure none of their colleagues come near Busch.

I did hear something interesting about the Rejoice lawsuit. I thought it had been settled and paid but apparently it is still in litigation. Also ASCAP is still underway with the artists about copyright infringement. There have also been reporters interested in the story of most of the performers losing their jobs and have had interviews but Busch might have squashed that. It's amazing who owns what around here and sits on several boards creating conflict of interests...Carl Lum for one. There has been word that Scott will watch the first Entwined show on Wednesday since the original prince and princess are gone for good. He is to decide if he wants to cancel the show's run for the season and send the performers packing early.

So we can get a light up foil leprechaun that sits on the stage, shoots confetti, and plays pre-recorded disco Irish tunes for a replacement to Celtic Fyre and it's live musicians and dancers.

I hope more of you are inspired by the mucho fun you can have with ze' Paint skills & le' PhotoShop. I have taught thee well Grasshopper. :p

possibly headed up there Friday.. missed CF finale on Sunday bah.. would suck to get there and have no shows playing.. really beginning to get "spittin nails" irate at this situation..

If the Entwined final show is scheduled for Sunday(as of right now anyway), then does that mean TIO's final show is Sunday too? If so that would be awesome because I'm planning on going Sunday, and I would love to see the last show!

Also, Has anybody heard on whether or not TIO will be returning next year? I know it's a bit early for this, but if anybody has any info on this it would be awesome!
