"Um...oh my god? How does this happen?"

Very bad management decisions!!! There should be no reason for a park to loose that kind of money..

Then why go public? Unless that was a last ditch to drum up some change knowing that they had to repay Blackstone? They had the money somewhere to do Verbolten and that Antartica crap down there, so why not put those on hold until you get a handle on things?

Really, really stupid question I should probably know: who owns the park? I thought Blackstone did, but then why are we paying back a loan to them?

Let us pray HoS Tampa pulls in some good numbers this year y'all.

They were either going to sell the chain or go to an IPO. They knew they had to pay Blackstone and the Verbolten project at least was in the plans back in 2009, just starting out at that point but it wasn't like Verbolten popped out of nowhere.

The chain was bought from AB Inbev to Blackstone. Blackstone reformed the corporate levels. Once the chain went to an IPO Blackstone didn't own them anymore and they are a stand alone company now; however Blackstone holds at least if not more than 50% shares so they still have the last say in everything.

Sigh.... this again?

OK, so a rough overview. Blackstone OWNED the parks, so when they turned around and spun SEAS into it's own company, a company in which Blackstone still owns part of, they were given part of the money that the IPO raised. There are plenty of ways to go deeper, but that's a top level look at things.

So that's where part of the money went. Some of the other money did indeed go to pay back some debt. This is why there were so many pros and cons of going public. The BGW parks never really operated under the profit making structure. Which is why we are seeing a lot of changes. The company as a whole now has to make a profit, or investors get angry.

Now, i'm not defending some of the decisions the park has made, but there are plenty of reasons why they need to make cuts. But they are just making them in the wrong place.

Just one last quick note (inb4 atlantis with stupid amount of details I care not to dive into)... I know i'm missing tons of points and logic here, but i'm just trying to lay it out in a simple manner.

So auditions in NY have not been going well. Calls have been made from NY to Busch in desperation trying to see who they can hold onto from all the performers they screwed over. Also there is confusion with positions actually being double cast since there is lack of communication in the office to make sure people are aware of the changes in roles. But that doesn't fall under my job description.

I was hesitant to write this since SG is so indecisive and anything can change at any moment. But as of now there is supposed to be a small type of show/dine in Ireland and Rhinefeld during HOS.

Yeah, I posted the details of buffets in those locations, just check out the HOS thread and scroll back a few pages for all the details that I have.

EDIT: For those too unmotivated to go looking for my details I included a quote from my post;

And who loved Open Casket? The wonderful theming and the vampire servers right? Well this is going to be one of the most interesting interactive treats this year. An non-exclusive interactive dining experience. To be honest, this information wasn't very straight or clear but what I got was the naked lady on the fountain in Rhinefeld will be replaced with The Lady of the Gardens, who will be an actual actress greeting you and luring you into this dining experience. There will be patio tables set up, with Vampire servers. This dining experience is to complement Bitten in Oktoberfest; however I was told it may be located in The Black Forest Picnic Area or the Entertainment Warehouse/Hunted/Darchen Fire Maintenance building. Please don't ask for too much info because like I said it was more or less thrown in bits and pieces at me.

Not a big turnout. Like we all figured there were many who auditioned just so Bob Cline would see them but had no intentions on taking the roles. Which means most of the positions have been offered and turned down several times yet they won't use the performers they have which have already done the shows. They finally gave the Dr. role in Fiends back to the original performer. Nurse Simplicity is still open. You will see some familiar faces. The office is angry and is using every desperate tactic to justify their wrongdoing. Certain dancers who have worked there for years were actually told that they are "too short to dance at BGW any longer". I can't make this stuff up folks. Sometimes I reread this and wonder how anyone on the outside would believe it but I know you all have your sources. Some people in the office are done with Scott too and will most likely be leaving. I would tell you a lot more but I am not giving SG and his minions above and below him any time to prepare for the info to come.

HAHA I KNEW someone would say that once I said it. The prince in entwined. Oh and for all my family out there. Be very careful and keep a watchful eye on how your "new roles" play out. They have already proven they can't be trusted. What makes you think you can trust them this time. I hope you are prepared to ask guests if they "want fries with that" while you are "singing". I say this out of love.

Glad Dr. Freakenstein will stay the same! They would have a hard time finding someone to fill his shoes. Did I read somewhere that Igor is staying the same actor, also?

Even new hires that haven't even made it to Busch yet are seeing how poorly ran it is: http://auditionupdate.com/index.php?p=74641&s=2
Hope they get their drug tests done or they will be sitting on the sidelines when they get into town not getting paid with only a week of rehearsal left. It's happened many times before trust me. Another way SG saves money.
