Well a heated discussion can certainly take a turn for the worse- I saw where this discussion could "potentially" be heading and I am trying to prevent having to play bad cop and start deleting posts.

We are all one big happy ParkFans family.. some just more happy than others.

Take this with a grain of salt, or more; however I have heard talk and chatter about Scott possibly being transferred to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

That talk and chatter probably came from this thread. I don't claim to know either way, but that's certainly not one of the pieces that has found a place in the puzzle I'm building.

Wow !!! You all need to read the link SDG just posted from audition update.com Wow!!! read on....

I will copy the One quote from Bob Cline that appeared on the forum. And Bob Cline, please learn to spell and grammar check your writing next time. Better yet Bob, get a PR person.

"Well, Good Morning,
I'm not going to say much, but I will say that I will proudly be at these auditions and I am completely involved. I have not worked for Busch Gardens, yet.....but what I do know is.... I spent a weekend at Busch Gardens with some very caring and wonderful people that run the entertainment department at Busch Gardens. I saw the shows, we spent a lot of time in meetings and planning and learning from each other. I am proud of everyone that I put my name beside, and that is know different here. Please let the past be the past, like we all want.
I think of it this way, there is a beautiful place in the middle of Virginia that is doing it's very best to create new jobs for performers. They are enthusiastically working towards being the best there can be, and that doesn't happen everywhere these days.
I apologize, if my involvement is, let's say, surprising. When I met these people in the Entertainment department in Bucsh Gardens and saw their true intentions, I wanted to be a part of it. Creating new and wonderful work that is going to be supported by a producing company that wants to budget what they can to put on the best show possible.....I'm looking forward to being a part of it.
I'm not going to say anything more about this here on this chain, but I did want to speak up, just my truth was out there.
It gets better...."
Bob

I'm concerned about the statement "create new jobs for performers." Which is admitting they fired their current performers to bring in new ones. And the bad grammar and spelling from someone so highly paid and respected.

To be fair, Bob made it sound like they brought him in there specifically to start shaking things up near the end of the regular season. It doesn't sound like he has even started doing anything for them yet.

Bob isn't trying to get rid of cast. He's said most of our performers aren't good enough, but you-know-who is really the one trying to replace cast. Bob may be Vader but you-know-who is the Emperor and is calling the shots and using Bob Clines suggestions as an excuse to clean house. Bob hasn't even cast his new talent picks yet. The illegal and immoral part is BGs cast has been let go before any of Bob Clines newly approved hires are even cast yet.

They haven't been let go..yet..They are working until the end of August. Casting is being held in 4 days. Rehearsals don't start till early sept....Some were given vampire bar and refused it. Yes, its a pay cut, but with the shows deleting singers and an all around shrinking...having a job is better than not. :/

ivybrit- Casting for anyone currently not working in the park is in 4 days. Current performers are not encouraged, informed about, or welcomed to attend the Bob Cline auditions. THAT IS THE PROBLEM. Vampire Bar/Culintainment doesn't pay well and isn't using the talents that they were officially cast by BGS casting agents to perform.

Kat-Obviously....they have to work. Talents.... If I were you..I'd at least take a culintainment job until you have secured a better gig. Getting angry is understandable. Granted, making barely above park ops isn't ideal, but it's better than moving home or not knowing what to do next.

We all know "housing provided" is a lie. They will provide housing assistance, which means they will hook you up with a roommate referral service. Big deal. And the money is very misleading, the one forum up above hit the nail on the head with hours. Your hours will be cut and you will make less than 400/week before taxes. That figure is if you had full hours, which you won't.

To put it in perspective, DollyWood pays more and the cost of living in Pigeon Forge TN is so much cheaper than it is in Williamsburg VA. Dollywood values entertainment.

They do provide housing sometimes. Some entertainers do stay at their housing village. I will say not a lot of them, but some of them do.

I don't if it is or isn't a lie. I do know Bob Cline has posted an ad saying housing or housing assistance will be provided and anyone performing would make between $400 and $600 per week. Now I'm not a lawyer, jury or judge but failure to live up to that basic ad, to me, would mean they falsely advertised.
