I am so glad to read something from you again. I certainly do miss you around here. I have been worried since all these posts have been flooding in.

The posts cause me to have such a sad, sinking feeling that I can barely read them. The messages are heartbreaking and though they are opinions, sometimes ignorance is bliss for me. I love the park too much to hear such things that are out of my control, whether they are true or not.

Still, the thing I worry most about these posts is the possibility that people who have no connection to the startling information/opinions shared here may lose their jobs. I know how hard all the people work at the park; many of who care deeply about their work. The entertainers give 100% everyday; the behind-the-scenes entertainment staff have a tremendous work ethic to get the job done.

I hate to see anyone hurt or not treated fairly. I pray these are mostly rumors. I pray that the state of affairs are not as dire as these posts.

I don't think my heart could take it.

I am sorry you feel that way. But I assure you this is not one person or one vendetta. It is the whole group coming out and finding anyway to stop this wrongdoing. I can assure you most of the performers have had they're contracts rescinded that were contracted for the rest of the year and told their spots have been replaced by others. The performers are rioting and will have this audition blacklisted with everyone they know. I really wish you could believe that this is the truth and really happening. It saddens me that you possibly believe that this is not the truth.

I know there is a fine line between freedom of speech and slander. I have not said anything that can't be proven nor backed by a thousand other people. I have not resorted to name calling. This "I" that speaks here is too big for SG. I'm sorry it has come to this but this is also one thread that you don't have to read. It's not flooding the rest of the forum. This happening isn't getting people fired. this is happening because they have already fired almost their entire casts and lied to them.

Wow, looks like they're recasting everybody. Even my favorite park performer that plays Simplicity and has an awesome voice.

Is it possible it's just a general casting call to see if they can get better talent? Why would they dump their good performers?

How many times do I have to say it. Most performers that had HOS and CT contracts have been stripped and the ones that already didn't have them are not being cast as well. Most people were in the shows last year as well. And let me clarify that the word "performers" sometimes means techs and stage managers.

Okay. Eff this. Seriously. Sources please. Stating things that make sense or could be true do not deserve to be trusted on their own right. I don't know who you are SDG, but you can't just be throwing out all these wild claims. You need to back your stuff up before you create mass hysteria for no reason (which is something I'm noticing that BGWFans loves to do).

So. Everyone. Just because something could be true or just because it sounds plausible, don't believe it just because of that. Demand proof, explanations, and answers before you react. SDG is making a ton of claims, but isn't baking them up. I, for one, refuse to be part of the reactive s***storm that's being created.

Demanding proof from a thread on the rumors board is probably a useless endeavor. As SDG has stated, it's posted to the rumors board because much of it can't be proven for one reason or another. I've kept quiet because, though a fair amount of what has been said lines up with things I've heard in the past, I don't know beyond a reasonable doubt either way. I'm treating what SDG (or anyone else) posts as pieces to a puzzle. If it fits with what I see or hear, good, it's probably a match. If, on the other hand, it doesn't fit together with information I've seen evidence of, then I'll throw that piece out. Take everything you hear from anyone with a grain of salt, don't take anyone's word as fact, judge things for yourself, and, most importantly, keep things civil. No one looks intelligent when they're irate. It's a skill no one possesses.

Like I said to SDG, If you can't divulge any of that then say so and let people know. Or maybe, just go with, "Here's what I think is happening and why it makes sense." instead of presenting it as fact. Or prove that they're facts. Those are your options.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one burnt out over posts like this one. I'm very close to opting out of this entire forum and just waiting to see what happens instead. I can't see how this fear-mongering is useful.

90% of the time the proof is in the pudding. Collect what SDG, Party Rocker, myself, or anyone else says about this year's Howl-O-Scream and Christmas Town. When the events roll around, fact check the stuff for yourself. If what they said would happen actually happened, maybe that's someone who should be listened to. If they were wrong, remember to add some more salt to whatever they feed you next. The front page is for news. If you want news, go there. Wild speculation, unprovable rumors, etc. are all facts of life on a forum. That's how it works.


Basically, if you want to put the puzzles together for yourself and you're willing to dig around in the mud sometimes looking for pieces, keep reading the forum. If you want to be handed finished puzzles in fancy picture frames that someone else put together, stick to the front page. That's really what it comes down to.

I kind of agree with Zach, the information he's giving out lines up with everything we know is happening so far (Roll out the Barrel cancellation and a sharp decline of quality in the park this year). As far as it being a big focus on the forums right now, that's simply because of the uncertain future of the park and the current sad state it's in.

Except you're making personal statements, setting them as fact without stating opinion and going brute-force against a person, an idea and a park that you DON'T know fully about behind the scenes. You may think you know what you know - but I can assure you 200% that bits and pieces you're missing are vividly important. There's a reason you're missing those pieces.

Widely known fact in the entertainment industry - SEA holds auditions across the country (and in some points of the year, across the globe) for talent as does Disney and Universal. Advertising for auditions in Playbill, the number one hedge for developing, aspiring, current and past actors is Playbill - where it will reach the widest of audiences interested in this time of work - and spread from there. A 2013 listing is nothing new and if local talent is upset about this in any way, they need to learn what the industry does that they're trying to get into and/or perform in.

But my better instincts tell me you are connected to SG.

May I bring some proof into this situation? No, not written proof, because i have no inside sources at the park. But something even better VIDEO PROOF!

In this video that I'm about to show you, you'll see Verbolten's media day! Obviously at the beginning you'll see V.I.P check in, which in the post above he talks about them messing up, and doing the Chiken Dance while performing for the V.I.P's! This video takes you on a tour of the "celebration" put on for Verbolten's media, you obviously see people who look like they belong in This Is Oktoberfest! and Wunderbaun. Towards the middle/end of the video you see all the performers dancing for the media, now I know this doesn't exactly show the "Chickendance", however when you see them dancing to the Cupid Shuffle you'll see one girl "flapping her wings" as she's turning. Now I imagine that this is when the "incident," occured while they were dancing for the media.
Please don't go and accuse me of not providing specific proof, but this is really good proof, and based on this I think that what SDG said about this "incident" is true.

Now for follow up proof! This video was taken at the opening ceremony of Verbolten! At the beginning you'll see the same exact people who were in the last video. And like SDG said there was an opening ceremony planned, but from the looks of this video it seems like there was a planned performance that was cancelled close to the opening day celebration. However, this isn't the main thing I want to point out to you guys, as they march you can tell they are nervous. As they march only a couple of them actually wave to the crowd. And some of them look so afraid that they can barely hold their smiles on their faces. Once they are finished with their "march" they are in such a rush that they look like they are making the crowds move for them to leave the area ASAP. After the video taker is done filming the "march" he points the camera towards the stage. Infront of the stage you can see Scott Gasparich organizing a class of some sort. And the obvious transitions of the moods of the preformers only leaves me to believe that what SDG said in this post is true for the most part. Here is that Video:

Now again, I know both of these videos aren't exact proof, but there is some obvious hidden proof in both. So for the most part I think SDG is right in this post. And I know some of you still aren't going to believe SDG until you get the Solidest gold proof on Earth, but I choose to believe SDG. At least about this post.

You know what I see in that first video that bothers me? Oktoberfest Hamlet-themed costumed characters doing booty shakes to something more appropriate at KD. Why no Oompah/Volkstümliche Musik here?

Semantics. We can all find multiple videos right now of performers smiling and being "carefree" too .. just because I post them doesn't make for "semi-proof". Again, it's easy to make a statement and present it as fact, but until you're in the lives of the actual people you're talking about (ie - the specific performers in this case), it's all opinion and guesswork.

I mean, it's not like anybody here got fired from the park after running their mouths at their bosses or anything, right? It's fine to voice hat you want, but when it gets personal - like many comments here have become for no reason, it harms the site, it harms the community and it harms the positive nature this place has become to be known for.

Is that the goal - to ruin a good thing, or is a personal vendetta and resulting "chaos" the grander solution ?

I realize I'm a bit of a lurky lurker for the most part, but cedarva was the main reason I came to love these forums as he was one of the first(?) major spoilers before it was known as "that Busch Gardens site". Maybe some of the more recent posters don't know this, but his input is hardly something that should be thrown out as unfounded.

I'm not saying anyone has to be right- because at this point what can any of us do other than hope? I realize that is a bit of a defeatist attitude, but really, I'm just hopeful that SG and his gremlins don't mess up HOS/CT, which were looking like 2 bright spots at the end of this year :/

Yesterday performers were told that HOS casting is 95% done and will be 100% done Monday July 29. And anyone who hasn't gotten an offer will get an email next week saying there is no offer for them. The casts said that most of them don't have spots, and the few that had spots were rescinded. And yet playbill says there is a NYC audition aug 11 for HOS & Xmas. These auditions are to book talent thru powerful agent Bob Cline. The park is not casting in-house performers but is giving most of the performer positions to Bob Clines agency. That is the crux of the issue.

As far as I know none of the talented singers and dancers that auditioned at the recent in-house HOS/Xmas auditions has been placed. In-house cast has been passed over.

I believe the possible motives are 1) Bob Clines commission and fees for booking performers and 2) the ability to name-drop all these broadway directors, agents, and newly cast actors, dancers and singers that appear in Bob Cline's big Broadway musicals.
