Log Flume
I haven't seen anything in person yet and hope it's just my mind playing tricks - but the items in the dumpster kind of look like the log vehicles...

I didn't see any logs lined up on the ground outside the sheds in this footage, but they also could have been out of frame or in storage if the ride won't be opening again this year.

oh dear, looks like the dark age of great adventure is coming didn't it
Do you remember last year, when there was speculation that Ka was closing due to budgeting as much as $20 million a season to keep it running? And removing Ka would free up more money for operations/upkeep on other rides? Because yeah, that logic did not age well.

(Edit: Obviously budgets don’t work this way in the real world, and Six Flags just isn’t a healthy company right now. When they removed a bunch of “dead weight” rides, they have fewer open rides to fall back on. Can’t let closures get out of control within a supposedly “leaner” park like this.)

Log ride cars are replaced periodically— I believe these are the second or third set for this ride.
This is my guess (and hope) as well, that these were just logs that were problematic in some way being disposed of. I can’t fathom that they would be giving up on Saw Mill, especially so soon after refurbishment, but who knows. I really want to stay optimistic about its future, but I don’t want to keep my hopes too high.

They should have converted KK into a log flume. Imagine the adrenaline rush of sitting in those logs, being launched at 128mph, clinging on for dear life (no harnesses or anything would be added to the logs), and plummeting down into a pool at the other side? 🤪

Not putting too much faith in this, but it could be a sliver of hope for Saw Mill, Swashbuckler, and Barnstormer. From what I’ve heard, Wonder Woman’s motor is also out, but I haven’t been able to confirm that.

Edited to add a screenshot of the post for those without Facebook.

A major relief if so and I suspect the topic will come up at some point during this weekend's Q&A. At this juncture, it's a miracle that Six Flags' Project Accelerate didn't claim the Barnstormer!

I think the Wonder Woman rumor tracks as well; something's definitely up with it since it's been closed for the past month and change.

Both good news and bad news here (leaning much more to the good): the PR reps today confirmed that removing Saw Mill, Swashbuckler, and Barnstormer from the website was simply to preempt guests asking about and expecting these rides to be open when they visit the park. So, while all of these rides will be requiring some further maintenance and may not open again in 2025, there are currently no plans to remove any of them.

Definitely good news—thanks for the update!

Hopefully there are plans to roll out a significant website overhaul of all of the Cedar Fair and Six Flags parks that will provide better ways for parks to communicate ride status. Right now they just really don't seem to have a good way to do that.
