Is it just me or is this bridge repair project taking a lot longer than expected?

This season-long solution is better than the alternatives that were seriously considered. It has kept the bridge operational for the maximum possible timespan. It is ugly for now, but it's way better than the bridge being closed.
Can't argue with that! Part of the new normal I suppose with year round ops these days!
I was honestly expecting that the painted name wouldn’t be added pack. Really glad they did that!

Let's hope that this is one of those things that they actually fix that we expect them not to.
I can confirm from several sources that there were no injuries. The incident also doesn't sound like it was the fault of any team member but related to some unknown issues. It also was one column that fell hitting the others in a domino effect.
I wonder what the odd are that they simply remove the rest and pretend that there were never there?
I could see them doing that and then just throwing the remains over by Pompeii.
