There's a map I saw one time that shows the attractions removed for Backlot Stunt Coaster, and The Safari Ampitheatre was on it.

Wow. Look at the quality of the imagery improve over time.
^ It's tough being a Kings Dominion forensic archaeologist because so many of the most drastic changes happened during the gritty, grainy era of satellite imagery. I had to do quite a bit to the 1994 image to make it even slightly legible.
I would like to have seen some shots from the early, mid, and late 80s. a couple of canister drops would have been fun too.
It would be so cool if it did happen next year. Safari Village needs this sort of thing to balance the entertainment out.
I mean there still is a high possibility that this hasn't and may not come to be. I was slightly iffy on posting this as news rather than rumors mainly because, well we don't exactly have any information other than the drawing.
It's also worth noting that I haven't seen any new zonings filed on the Hanover site (besides the Soak City expansion of course)
Since we haven't seen anything other than this drawing, I've begun to have my doubts that this project isn't going to happen... At least not this season.
