Rita's Italian Ice to Replace Roman Frieze

After looking at the electrical drawings and reading the project details, this looks as low effort as possible 6 light fixtures changed, two Italian ice machines, and swap the signs seems like the only thing to be changed, atleast this seems very low impact on the area visually, other then a Rita’s sign.

I'm very conflicted by this - as someone whose family comes from Philadelphia, I do enjoy a good Rita's wooderice. On the other hand, Dole Whip...

Can they keep the Dole Whip machine and use that instead of custard? I feel like a Dole Whip Gelati would be a winner.

Had no idea they had the famous Dole Whip. I only go in there Decembers and Januarys to get an ice cream, but they only have hot chocolate. Josephines has switched to online ordering which eliminates them for me, no idea where the other place is. Don't think I've ever actually had ice cream at the park and this is not making it likely ever will.

Hot take apparently, but I welcome outside chains at busch. The level of quality at the park in recent years has been at a nosedive. I'd much rather overpay for food I know will be consistent than gamble with whatever busch whips up.

Also- I don't even think it's dole whip anymore. Last I checked it was off brand pineapple freeze.

But will it? Assuming BGW is staffing and running it as opposed to contracting it out to Ritas do we honestly think the customer service or even quality control will improve?

Not just addressed at you @CyberstarEntertainment, but there have been a handful of these recently so I'm going to bring it up here: Could we avoid just posting single images without any information, context, or sourcing?

I understand that that's a page from the county-submitted plans for the Rita's renovation, but other, more out of the loop passersby likely won't know what these images are or where they came from.

Ritas has opened. Couple items of note one at least today there were several Ritas employees overseeing operations. I can't say if that is just new location training and support or if that is permanent oversight but they were very hands on in ensuring Ritas standards were being met.

Two no where on the repurchase menus is the 5% surcharge disclosec in fact it's not till you are standing at the register with product in hand waiting to pay that you see anything on it. obviously park regulars shouldn't be surprised but I did see at least one family that didn't know and were agree about being hit by it at the register hopefully that gets rectified in short order.

Yeah, the sign looks awful. Super huge, tacky, and in your face. I was hoping they’d at least choose some design that sort of blends better.

They didn’t even bother to get rid of the Roman spears that supported the old Roman Frieze sign. Those spears only made sense in the context of the Roman Frieze pun (being vaguely ancient Roman in design) and now make no sense. Why are there spears supporting a Rita’s sign in an Italian carnival? Lazy.

The sign actually matches the tent colors. Still gaudy though, so thematically prefect for the shit show that is Festa. To me Festa does with the absolutely out of place and terrible themed Tempesto. I absolutely hate that theme way more than Rita's.
