1. Panthererian - One of the main reasons why I've been visiting KD almost every year since 2010. Amazing first drop, quick, intense transitions and a couple good airtime moments make this the perfect roller coaster for me.
2. Twisted Timbers - Honestly, Twisted Timbers is very close to being tied with Pantherian. While not as intense, it's just as fun in it's own way. The barrel roll drop is always great, especially when you're not stapled in. For me the best part are the three airtime hills after the over banked turn. Just multiple moments of negative g's, you can't go wrong with this ride.
3. Rapterra - I had high expectations for this ride upon hearing it's announcement. But I didn't expect it to be in my top 3. Sure it can have some shaky moments and it's launch doesn't hold a candle to Volcano's, but I find it very enjoyable and one I can ride over and over again. While I do prefer the right side, the left also provides a great experience as well. The overbanked turn has a great sensation when coming down from the top, the s-curve has a snappy moment in it, great interaction with the midway and the heartline roll ends the ride perfectly. This also might be my favorite themed roller coaster in the park.
4. Grizzly - Even when it was at it's worst, I still had a soft spot for Grizzly. Now that it's been re-tracked, it's easily one of my favorite rides in the park now. That first drop in the back row is bonkers! The section after the first turn around, the tunnel, to the last round about, is much better than before and some days it flies through it! Only gripe is the last part between final turnaround and brake run is still a bit rough and the fact they tore down quite a few trees and added unnecessary lights throughout the layout. Still fun at night, but nowhere as fun as it was before the re-track.
5. Dominatior - While it is showing it's age this year, Dominator is still a great B&M. Although I refuse to sit in the front row as I did find it terribly shaky last time I was up there and that was back in 2018. The last two rows provide a better experience, in my opinion.
6. Racer 75 - You know, if the North side still ran backwards, this might be in my top 5, possibly 3. That said, it's still a fun classic and major props to KD for retacking it over the years to provide a better experience.
7. Reptilian - If the park didn't already have a great line up, Reptilian would be much higher in my list. At first glance, it wouldn't look like the ride would do much, but it packs such a punch for being what it is. I always try to ride it on every visit, as long as the line isn't spilling out of that short queue.
8. Backlot Stunt Coaster - Fun little ride. The launch into the helix still surprises me occasionally. I'll be seeing stars some days from the g-forces believe it or not. Too bad the theming is such an eyesore now and the effects don't even work anymore, at least on the last few times I've ridden it.
9. Flight of Fear - This used to be much higher on my list, but after riding Joker's Jinx, it reminds me how it's successor's are much better. FOF definitely has shown it's age as it feels much rougher this year. And I noticed this before I visited SFA earlier this year. Launch is still a lot of fun and has great theming.
10. Woodstock Express - Only reason why this one ranks so low is that I don't ride this often, unless I'm visiting with my cousins of family-friend. Fun little ride and a good one for starters. But being 6 foot does not make a comfortable ride for me in those small trains.
11. Apple Zapple - It's a fun ride but I don't really go out of my way to ride this one, even on slow days. The final brake run can be pretty abrupt too and it's not pleasent.
12. Tumbili - The more I see this ride, the more I'm starting to understand why you guys say Tempesto is a flat.
This ride can be fun if it didn't have so much whiplash moments but I usually skip this one unless someone I'm with wants to ride it. The theme looks good, so I'll give it that.
For fun, I'll rank the defunct roller coasters I've been on as well.
1. Hypersonic XLC - Only got to ride this once in 2006. One of the craziest launches I got to experience. It was a short ride but that launch and moment going over the hill was pretty intense. It wasn't my first launch roller coaster, but helped me overcome my fear of them.
2. Volcano The Blast Coaster - This was a fun and unique ride but at the same time, never was worth waiting 45 minutes or longer for, which I felt was always the case, even on days when the park was empty. I do miss seeing the ride and hearing the LIM's in action. On a side note, can you imagine the park's line up if Hypersonic and Volcano still existed in today's line up, including Rapterra?
3. Anaconda - While the ride got rough over the years, I still rode it as it never had a line and it did hold some sentimental value to me. And while I was lucky enough to ride it on it's final night, I still wish we at least had proper farewell announcement prior to it closing.
4. Hurler - It was a decent woodie when I first rode it in 2004, but it definitely did not age well as time went on. By it's final year in 2015, the ride was just horribly rough, slow and not even close to being fun. Thank god for RMC and giving us Twisted Timbers.
5. Shockwave - Fuck this ride and I'm glad it's gone. Nevermind the headbanging, the last thing I want to experience when going to an amusement park (or at all for that matter) is the feeling of kicked in the nuts. That stupid ass bicycle seat and the shitty restraints were some of the worst coaster restraints I've ever had to endure. Good riddance!

- Pantherian - for me, personally, this is objectively the best ride at Kings Dominion. Even looking at the monumental lift hill from the Victoria's patio gives it this mythical vibe, like it's the one attraction in the park that guests would dare to conquer. Getting pulled through those high speed turns is exhilarating.
- Twisted Timbers - I wish this could be #1 if it weren't for the fact that I'm starting to really feel the restraint pressure on my thighs. Nonetheless it never detracts from the relentless experience this coaster gives from start to finish. Now that some time has passed, the only element I don't like is the u-turn w/outerbanked hill under the lift. IMO this element should've been a wall stall. Right now because of how tight it is and the speed of the train going through it, I get a concerning lateral whiplash as the train banks back to the right and out of the element. But still, perfectly smooth and a wonderful replacement and glow-up for what was previously there.
- Grizzly - When I rode for the first time in four years in 2021, this thing was DANGEROUS. Rough was beyond an understatement. The train repeatedly slammed me against the backrest and jolted me around to the point where I thought a crash could be possible. But I finally rode it this year and it is MUCH BETTER. Smooth as a modern wood coaster, I can actually enjoy the sick tunnel airtime, and the still jittery ending doesn't even bother me - because it's close to the end.
- Dominator - I always liked this one, but when I rode this year I could really feel the old-school B&M intensity in the turns and pull-outs. It did rattle my skull a ton though.
- Rapterra - Hold your tomatoes when I say I've only ridden this ONCE. Front row, right wing, outer seat. Like many have said, it was clearly bumpy but it didn't exactly bother me. Theming is spot on, the wing slide over the pathway is something I never expected this Volcano successor to do. If I get to ride more times it may move further up - or down, depends on if I enjoy later rides.
- Flight of Fear - Really intense but quite shaky. I could still marathon it up to three rides. The launch is (literally) a banger. When I last rode, I swear the train barely slowed through the mid-course. Beyond the coaster itself, standing in the eerily lit queue line and listening to the creepy saucer audio is the perfect (and nerve wracking for first timers) buildup to such an intense ride.
- Backlot Stunt Coaster - A fun family thrill coaster with some incredibly high positive g's and SUPER jerky twists. Before I first rode I wasn't sure why it was rated a 5. Now I know. At this point though it's desperate for a retheme...
- Racer 75 - Smooth as 2023 Grizzly and I'm really glad they fixed that HORRIFIC jolt in the hill before the turnaround. I swear it could've broken my back. Not anymore! Not as intense as Grizzly, but the racing feature is super fun especially when you have some members of your party racing you on the other track. Now please, REPAINT IT TO ITS ORIGINAL COLORS!!!!!!
- Reptilian - My first ever coaster at the park, so I have quite a sentimental attachment for it. I love the refresh it got with Jungle X-Pedition. My only complaint is the stop on the mid-course (and I just realized Jungle-X has always had a thing with its coasters stopping on the mid-course. Reptilian mostly does it, Backlot does it, FoF and (formerly) Anaconda slow to a crawl). While I raved over it as a 10-year-old scared of rides with big drops, it still holds up for me today with its speed pickup near the end and those fun twists.
- Tumbili - Really short, I've gotten a whiplash a couple of times. But the theming is top notch and there was a time where I was hanging upside completely after the first raven turn. That was like being in a different dimension.
- Apple Zapple - The seats are super tight and some of the brake sections are incredibly jarring. The tight turns unsettle me nowadays because of how big I've gotten, and my dad will probably avoid this from now on. I will say it has a pretty fun photo-op.
- Woodstock Express - Of course for me this is at the bottom of my list as a family/kids coaster. It is a great coaster for its target audience but doesn't do a whole lot for me compared to the other coasters. Also, I may now be too big to sit in the seat next to a rider of my size. It's been over ten years since I last rode, so I'll have to reride it soon but for now it rests at the bottom.

just such a fun wild ride. One of my top RMCs ever. So happy to have this in my home park. I adore dragging everyone I know on this over and over again.

What can I say that hasn't been said before - Wow! This ride is beyond a powerhouse. I adore this coaster beyond anything, it's beyond intense and perfect. However, the older I get, the less I can lap it over and over. Hence why TT is above.
3.Grizzly
This used to be one of my family's "trial rides" see. If you can take the brutal punishment of the ride sort of thing. But now - dear Lord! This is such a must ride, multiple times now. Grizzly is smooth, intense and the airtime is insane. I find myself loving this ride more and more with each year. I liked it when it was a brutal ride, but I have fallen in love with it now. I love the front row as it seems a bit smoother, however I adore the back row so much. I don't know why, but it always takes my breath away and I adore that!
4.Dominator
not much to say, very fun ride if not bumpy. Sometimes it's not as rough, other times it can be a bit brutal. I tend to generally ride in the back, but I still find it to be a very fun and intense ride. It's not my favorite floorless, but it's a good one.
5.Rapterra
Wow, I honestly love this ride. I won't ride in the back as I find it a bit bumpy. The front is so much fun though. No matter the side I always find myself laughing as I do on TT. Not to mention it's a good GP pleaser and tends to eat them up.
6.Racer 75
Classic fun amazing woody. A little rough after the turn around. My lady friends always call it the jackhammer for a reason lol. I love to get a couple rides on at least north side in the front row. The back is fantastic, I just find it smoother and do with grizzly.
7.Flight of fear
The launch says it all for me. I love this ride, it's one of my family's favorites too. The theme is great, and the whole presentation is just superb for a regional theme park. As I previously said, the launch is so much fun and first half is great. I'm not a fan of the mid-course brake run as I have found the other variants without it Superior. It is still a very fun ride though.
8.Apple Zapple
This is one of the few coasters I can always get my friends and family on. That first drop is amazing compared to a bunch of the other wild mouse coasters. As long as the line is at the stairs, I'll always do it, anything longer. I'll avoid it.
9.Tumbili
This isn't the worst of its kind. I really do love its theming and especially the monkey sounds that play whenever the train crests. The first time I took my mom on this ride I literally thought she was dying. She kept grunting in some kind of hard manner but it was just in the sense that she's never experienced a ride like that before. It's not her favorite, she'd rather ride Rapterra. Lol
10.Backlot stunt coaster
This is such a fun ride, but totally out of place, theming wise. They could easily do a couple things to make this fit in better. It is a very fun ride though with a punchy cute launch. I know a bunch of my friends and family that'll gray out on the Helix, however I don't. It's always a fun little quirky ride to do with the family when they come, or just to get a quick ride on if there's no line. When the props and themes are working, it's even more fun.
11.Reptillian
I legitimately love this ride, I just have it lower as it's not one I will reride over and over again. It's an extremely cute and fun bobsled coaster. It's even better when they don't have the mid-course brake run working and you just run through. Regardless of all that. It's a really fun family coaster and it's honestly fantastic. It's just I prefer the other rides in this park.
13. Scooby-Doo coaster
One of the best starter wooden coasters. The last time I wrote it in the back a couple months ago it was horrible. When I wrote it in the front it was fantastic.
14. Great pumpkin coaster
It's a kitty coaster. I don't know what more I can say.

Hypersonic was before my time.
Shockwave was removed prior to my first visit to KD in 2017.
Hurler was being already being transformed into TT.
I was too short for Volcano when I went in 2017. Didn't go again until 2024.
Pantherian > Twimbers > Rapterra for top 3 coasters, top 3 other rides are (in no order) Drop tower, Eiffel & the flume
FoF is just ok for me. I also almost lost my glasses on it once, but that's just cause I choose not to have an athletic strap. That's on me lol.
Dominator is just super mid and shaky. The first drop and loop is really the only good parts to me.
