That’s a brilliant solution to those doors being closed all the time. They looked so bad when they were just bare metal.
I remember the days when there used to be ice cream served in there on the way to Eggery Deggery...
Back when the park first opened in 1975, that used to be the OG Festhaus before the actual Das Festhaus was built a year later. Nice to see the park touch it up despite not being in use for something currently, hopefully something can be done about that.

The Willkommenhaus from August 22, 2009! Once upon an ice cream shop. (My shirt is wet from having just come off Le Scoot.). I miss the informational plaque about the Adolphus Busch fountain, but I can understand its removal once Busch sold the park. By the way, I read somewhere that this is not the original fountain, but rather a replica, since the Busch family took the original back. Can anyone confirm this?
I really miss that old paint scheme on the Wilkommenhaus. It looks stately and authentic in that picture. Scrolling up this page to the picture of its current color scheme is jarring — the bright pastel colors just look so tacky and cartoonish by comparison.
I just want them to repaint around the clock again.
Notice there is no rope across the openings of the clock.

Totally understandable when maintenance is happening, but not sure why they have to stay up all the time.
