The only areas that alcoholic drinks aren’t permitted in are Sesame and LOD. Beyond that, everywhere is fair game for drinks, as long as it’s inside the park.

Is this an actual park policy that just isn't enforced often? Similar to what @Thomas said, Land of the Dragons seems to be a very popular drinking spot for parents. I've seen a lot of strollers armed with plenty of open booze back there.

Smoking policy is only in designated areas. There just may be no areas in LOD/FOF

Sesame is actually related to the IP rights contract and is enforced to the best of my knowledge there is no such policy fir LOD so you are 50% right.

No it's not a law but park policy mandated in their contract for the rights to use the Sesame stuff. Also the zone doesn't start at the tracks but at the actual gateway on the right as you are walking towards the skyride stay to the left and no issues go to the right and into the actual Sesame Forrest area and staff are supposed to ask you to leave the area or throw it out and usually do so fairly quickly.

I mean they have done wine and fireworks cruises in the past.

For what it's worth this was yesterday afternoon with all rides except the sky ride open and TWO boats running so I guess there is the demand for an extension.

They did one tonight. I did it and you get a pretty damn good view.
Also, the Barbarossa was back in service for it tonight, so hopefully we see more regular service with that boat again.

Has anyone ever done the Summer Celebration fireworks cruise, or is this new for this year? I know other iterations of fireworks cruises have been mentioned in the past.

Considering it for my girlfriend's birthday this weekend, and just wanted to see if it was worthwhile.

I've enjoyed previous versions, but I haven't done it since they relocated the fireworks.

That said, honestly, Rhine River Cruise at night regardless of the fireworks is super charming so it may be worthwhile regardless!

Have done it this year. Drinks (select alcohol included) and snacks are provided.
Definitely worth it.

Edit: now that I think of it, having never been on that bridge, I wonder if there were also any ADA concerns that they didn't want to pay to remediate?

This reminded me, is anyone else super annoyed about how inaccessible this ride is? The Rhine River Cruise is arguably the most wheelchair friendly ride in the park and it is completely blocked off by stairs. What is even the point of the stairs on the Rhinefield side?? There's quite a bit of flat ground between the dock and the stairs, I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to just extend the ramp.
