Im not saying they would take them out as long as they are not a large cost but I feel if it ever came to the point where they needed a fairly expensive upgrade or repair they may not see the need anymore.
They started with 7 and are down to 3 (1 of which is standby). They're old. Made in Tampa and barged up here before opening. Somewhere here I posted an old newspaper article with a picture of them craning one into the water. I recall they were a day or two late because the barge ran aground on the James.

I guess this goes here, But the Rhine river was really low today, probably due to griffon repaint work.

Is that sign with the image of a riverboat and a brief history of the attraction new? Last I remember, it was a red sign that just included the warning about the steep hill and didn't have the rest of the information. I love that the park did this, not just because it's a lovely nod to the attraction's history but also because it seems like a good way to encourage ridership from guests who may not know about the ride.

The Rhine river is really low and you can see the old Neptune statue base, along with stuff probably from the old bridge and river cruise stuff.

It's because of the work on Alpengeist and Griffon. It's at the same level that it was at when Finnigan was built and when Nessie was painted. But it's always neat to see.
