I think Mack still makes them. There’s just not a high demand for them. I would love to see more of them as I think bobsleds are a very cool model that more parks should have.
From what I remember alpine is the most extreme experience, it truly feels so out of control. I got so lucky riding it bc it is notorious for being a downtime monster. My favorite is Flying Turns, but I've only ridden that and Reptilian. They ride very different from each other and are both fun in their own way. The thing Flying Turns has that Reptilian doesn't (or didn't) is that it gives the feeling that it's getting out of control and might flip even due to how it goes up and down the turns (it's not just a b-line like on Reptilian). But Reptilian is substantially faster so that's fun too. I haven't ridden it recently, and this new faster second half sounds awesome, so I really need to experience that.
Yes it had 4 trains. It also has 8 blocks.
WHOA!!!! Look at Reptilian’s operations (as Avalanche) back in the day! Those dispatches look fast. Did the ride ever run four trains? Because with that dispatch rate, I don’t know how they could safely load and unload at that pace during three train ops. 2:18
It goes: brake 1 (pre-lift), lift, brake 3 (MCBR), brake 4, brake 5, brake 6 (pre-transfer), transfer, and station.
I think “Brake 1” is the tire drives before the lift. Brake 4 is the intial brake that doesn’t actually slow the train in the slightest, brake 5 is the one following it before the turn? Brake 6 would probably be the brake after that turn mentioned above. Are there any diagrams for this? Maybe my memory is hazy, but I don't recall seeing so many brake runs on the ride...
