I can see a SS Screaming Swing on former sky coaster plot and drop tower by the go-carts. Than can make the building into a big arcade/lazer tag would be really cool.
Phase 3 has gotta be the drop tower right?
I split a couple 2028 posts off from other threads to make a new Shoreline Pier Phase III thread. This the first confirmation we've gotten of an actual Phase III in 2028, right?

I believe so. Prior to this I think it was more of an assumption, I can’t recall anyone affiliated with the park saying anything about a Phase III. Superman retheme and a drop tower?
Personally, I wouldn’t mind if the heavy focus for the next 5 years was the Boardwalk with continued small improvements throughout the rest of the park. It’s such a prominent location that’s been wasted for so long that even once it’s no longer the primary concern, I don’t believe it should ever be seen as a completed project.

In one of the press releases after Ka was closed they mentioned a multi-year expansion plan but nothing really specific.
I was curious since I don't really follow news from other parks. Have content creators at other Six Flags parks been getting the same level of access to construction projects like they have at SFGAdv or is this kind of unique?

Absolutely unique. We haven't seen anything like this from any other parks' marketing teams—frankly in the Six Flags chain or not—not even close. I think we can truly say this has been an unprecedented level and consistently of media access.
Having been at Carowinds, SFMM, SFoT, and SFFT recently, I think it's really only Tormenta that has progressed enough to be worth showing off, and that's been fully revealed. I just don't think the other new attractions are far along enough
Ryan has previously mentioned a "phase 3" and additional phases/projects. "Phase 3" has been more recent since Shoreline Pier fully developed and became a surprise "phase 1" bumping PP to become "phase 2" with its opening next year chronologically. I think he's mentioned 2028 before. It's all been fluid and developing from the start of the year as Shoreline Pier came together. But this is the first time at a press event with a bullhorn laying out the projects as SP phase 1, PP phase 2, and "2028" phase 3. Before, all the projects were mysteries when he was talking about the larger plan and interviewers were focused on the new coaster because that's all we knew of up until mid-winter. This goes back to slightly before or the same time Shoreline Pier was just a ball getting rolling conceptually months ago. Ryan spoke very generally in January, February and March across various interviews about "what's next." Some vague indication of a big coaster, some of a woodie. Of course the survey re the 400' drop tower. So don't know if the phase 3 he's referring to now is any of that or if it's an extension of the broader Boardwalk renovation, like a Superman re-theme, further game stand renos or garden state grill overhaul, more repaving with stamped boardwalk, etc. I would be skeptical 2028 could be a big coaster because of the lead time needed and the timeline with the merger being so recently. PP is the last relic of the previous regime and was contracted five years ago now.

I would be pleasantly surprised if they were that far along on another coaster contract with the lead time needed. Project Purple was initiated in 2022 and will open in 2027, although it seems like there was a chance it could've opened in early 2026 if some things went differently. With the former management and then the merger taking place from 2023-2024, I'd be amazed if another major coaster project like a tilt was greenlit and budgeted for at that time after contracting for the very expensive PP the year or so before. The park would've been in a holding pattern waiting for the transition. As it was, only removals to save money happened in those in-between years. I think if a ride is Phase 3 for 2028, the 400' drop tower is more feasible on a 2-3 year timeline. Or more smaller rides from elsewhere, perhaps, to fill out the Pier or Boardwalk area more. Another possibility is 2028 doesn't necessarily have to mean an opening. It could be announcing and/or beginning work on something to open a year or two later. But it does seem like their phasing now ties to when they open, so 2028 in context of how Ryan said it seems to be when something will debut. That leaves not quite 2 years. That limits the possibilities a bit that we can speculate on.

Could definitely see a family coaster project like that making sense for 2028 if they're trying to be REALLY aggressive with their atonement for their sins.
Tend to think the record breaking drop tower is a better bet though, unfortunately.

Yeah I’m probably gonna assume a drop tower is more than likely here. But someone mentioned a traditional B&M Giga and one other thrill coaster being in development here
B&M giga was a cancelled project from the late 2010s. Nothing like that planned, as far as we've heard.
In a world where this happens, it will almost excuse the nonexistent upkeep of Rolling Thunder because that would almost certainly be the plot used for Wild One. Can’t imagine where else in the park it would theoretically go.

Wild One with a drop tower in the middle of the helix would be elite, just not sure if it'd be safe. But omg could you imagine? Sorta the way Maliboomer was set up?
