If there’s a park in the chain that could justify it at this very moment, it would be Great Adventure, but I agree. I’d also be fine with 2028 just being a Nitro repaint lmfao
If the three-phase project is to just focus on revitalizing and enhancing the boardwalk, with its end date in 2028 I think it solidifies that Nitro won't be repainted until earliest 2029, or 2030. đź«

Ryan did stress in the ACE event that such a project would require massive amounts of paint and money, and I doubt with the direction the park has been headed in that a repaint alone would be the only thing invested in for Nitro when it happens.

A new coaster would be nice, but all the new additions make sense when you think about what they replaced. Phantom Spire is the super tall standout attraction, Barrels of Fun/Flash are the supporting coasters, then there is three new flat rides to replace the flat rides they got rid of. The only thing that we're missing is a Zumanjaro replacement. Combine that with the inevitable Superman retheme and that's a solid Phase 3.

A Zumanjaro replacement would also be basically guaranteed to be wildly more popular because they couldn’t possibly make the mistake of putting it like 80 miles away from the rest of the park again. Attaching it to Ka’s tower not only expedited the closure of the two, but only would’ve been worthwhile if Ka itself wasn’t already so detached from the rest of the park.

Completely different structures and therefore completely different challenges in both the short term and long term. I saw so many people saying they should’ve just left Ka’s top hat for Zumanjaro, as if Zu wasn’t the (current) primary issue and that wouldn’t just look awful.

Similarly, I do think Lex Luthor is on borrowed time. Surely they don’t want to leave Superman EFK taking up such a narrow yet incredibly long plot long term, but it’s also a different structure than Tower of Terror II and who knows what needs to be left for Lex to be structurally sound. I’d wager it’s gone by 2030.

My understanding is that they have-already-removed / intend-to-remove everything except for the tower itself for EFK...but I could be wrong.

I’m going to just throw random dreams into the 2028 pile

I feel like a nice Axis Family coaster would be a really cool addition to the pier

if great adventure would to get a axis family coaster, I like to see it in golden kingdom or maybe frontier adventures (themed it to a tornado)

A nice simple Mack water coaster would go great here. One of the new bread, like Krampus, Fjord, or Paulton's. It could be next to the new Barrels and part of it could be interwoven through Phantom Spire (maybe the upside down launch area?).
Or even over on either side, with ride entrance right next to Supe, and the ride taking up the whole area around Houdini and the 4d building (ex go-carts/ Skycoaster). It would be a great visual from the entrance.
I think it fits the shoreline theme.
Also most of these new ones are more family friendly.
And it could be a package deal with Mack, with the new coaster.

Was at the park today, here’s my two cents on everything that’s been going on:

The area looks really nice, I just wish the rest of the boardwalk had its concrete redone. I know I’m being picky here, but the areas specifically where they removed those booths look really rough to me

Man, a white cyclone/boardwalk bullet type coaster would be absolutely perfect. I doubt they’d build one, but I can dream right? Just something to cover up what’s left of the GL plot. The park really needs something that serves as a true stepping stone from the smaller coaster to the bigger ones, and another woodie that isn’t as intense as Toro would be ideal
