Project Skyland is the official code name for the 2027 roller coaster, Project Purple is just a nickname that the employees/media came up with.
Huh. Seems sort of pointless if they're announcing the name and everything in about a month (nobody's going to call it by anything other than it's announced name) and they never referred to it publicly as anything other than "Project 2027" and, later, "Project Purple" once the first track arrived in March.

Project Skyland is the internal name for the project. Ryan just happened to mentioned it during a tour, not any kind of announcement. Not really a big deal.

Edit: Here's a video from Coliwood Studios for the media announcement for the partnership with the other Project Purple.

Around the 01:40 mark he comments on the huge area of space between purple and pier. States “stay tuned see what happens”

Now I’m no conspiracy theorist but they def have inside knowledge on projects or hear things that are being discussed and to me that quote and the way he says it seems like a subtle hint that something is also coming to this plot of land.
That’s probably the 2028 area for part 3

I think we finally got a bigger glimpse of the theme for this attraction . The music sounded like it was from a horror film from the early 1900s and the static reflected that. I think we may see this be similar to Hollywood tower of terror but a light house version. They can definitely do a lot of theming in the que line and hopefully a preshow!

The music is a very interesting choice, I think of early 20th, late 19th century ocean/hauntedness theme stemming from it. With the decal in front of the wooded fence detailing ships in the background with a foggy atmosphere illuminated by the large moon, and the trademarked name 'Phantom Spire', I think it largely settles on what we assume for the tower and surrounding boardwalk. Cannot wait for it's reveal.

I just knew the dislike was you @northdetective lol

I mean what else would he have said??? I don't think we were going to hear "no future attractions are planned at this time" or have an instantaneous announcement of plans that are even further in the future before this coaster gets fully revealed

edit: I thought we were talking about a Ryan Eldredge quote. Means even less to me to hear ElToroRyan offhandedly say "stay tuned maings, see what happens." u didn't even quote accurately (maing omission is academic misconduct) and the statement is speculative by nature

Update: I talked to my music theory teacher about what this means. Here's what I learned. Let me preface this by saying it's very possible this means nothing, and it's just a random sound they grabbed off the web. Anyways, The full title of the song in that video is The Planets: Mars, the Bringer of War. It was written in 1914 about three months before WW1 started. It served as the inspiration for the Imperial March in SW. The intention of the piece is to represent humanity marching towards destruction. It also has themes surrounding the occult (makes sense given what we've seen), mechanical monsters and machines (makes sense for a coaster,) and just utter doom.
Note that Mack Extreme Spinners have the capability for on-ride audio, if they wanted... could be interesting.
