Guys, wait! We have to remember to glaze Gargantuan Vertical Vengeance so that Northdetective can keep arguing that he's the only one who disagrees with Six Flags's decisions!!!
Oh second thought: what a great name! I can’t believe Six Flags spend 2 minutes by using ChatGPT to come up with a masterpiece of a name like this! Sorry Phantom Spire, I don’t think it can’t get better than this

I’m afraid humanity will never be the same ever again

What did discovery kingdom do to you to deserve that?
im talking about the theme and the name of it and six flags discovery kingdom has room for it in the old chabot stadium spot (could be a rmc raptor or a mack rides coaster), phantom spire already sounds perfect in hindslight

There's already a coaster at the park with a double V alliteration tagline in Flash: Vertical Velocity. I'll eat my membership card if the 2027 coaster ends up being named "Gargantuan", especially after so much talk of getting the story/theme of the whole boardwalk redo correct.

Probably would be the nail in the coffin for me ever coming here. Lazy, Lazy, Lazy.

I can’t see the park adding a shuttle coaster with “Vertical Vengeance” right after a shuttle coaster with “Vertical Velocity” in the title

I can’t see the park adding a shuttle coaster with “Vertical Vengeance” right after a shuttle coaster with “Vertical Velocity” in the title and trying to pass them both off as world-class thrill rides. and yet

oh don't worry. every bad decision has the dickriders out in good time. tiktoks made, inadequacies handwaved, free promo already produced most likely. all the twelve year olds on reddit see the purple construction updates and go "remember when everyone hated this coaster????" consent is manufactured, and you'll like Gargantuan if you want the park to succeed. otherwise ur just a bitter hater who's a nonconformist on purpose

Six Flags filed a new trademark for a ride called GARGANTUAN VERTICAL VENGEANCE. I could see that being used for this ride or possibly a new drop tower at another park.
This has got to be the dumbest name I’ve ever seen for a new ride. At least with other names in the past they’ve sounded dumb but people eventually warm up to them but this is just a new level of stupidity.

If it is the name, it would most likely be GARGANTUAN: Vertical Vengeance. I mean, the teaser says "it's rising" so... ???

It's similar to Tormenta Rampaging Run which is actually awful.

Gargantuan Vertical Vengeance is a terrible name. Even if it’s abbreviated to just Gargantuan. It’s a name most of the GP would struggle to pronounce and lacking substance. A new rollercoaster should have a memorable and catchy name. I still believe Phantom Spire is still the chosen name because “Spire” means the swirls inside seashells per definition and tall structure. It’s a catchy and easy to pronounce and will go well with the haunted lighthouse theming. If Gargantuan is the name, I have no idea how that would fit into the boardwalk or have any theming or storyline. Maybe a giant sea monster?

I feel like Gargantuan Vertical Vengeance would be better saved for whichever park winds up getting Tormenta's successor as it feels more appropriate as a dive coaster name than one with a spiraling spike. Especially for a park that already operates a coaster named Flash Vertical Velocity, it just seems too wordy and too similar to work well with the public.

You know I really wasn't on board with the whole Gargantuan name at first

But call me crazy

Like really crazy

Like really... Really... Crazy

But a 60s sci-fi kaiju theme could really work. It fits the tacky name and it would suit the theme. Plus they could really lean into the whole 60s surf culture with something like that.

Basic premise: you're at the beach when all of a sudden a giant kaiju comes out of the water. Government recruits you into an experimental craft that'll take the monster down.

A kaiju theme would be pretty badass.
