They have mounts for a ladder up the back left support. They just have not installed the ladder sections yet to the top for maintenance crews.

Lmao I said to a friend just as it was topped off “we can now let the argument over whether or not this is taller than Red Force begin” and sure enough here we are.How do you figure riders in the cars will be shorter than Red Force? Several feet of Red Force's height includes a piece of support that goes above the heads of riders in the cars by about 10.' So, they're experiencing about 357' of the 367' height. Even if the upper cars on Project Purple stop just short of that last section of track reaching 375,' most of the train is probably going to clear 360,' maybe the upper 2-3 cars touch 365.'
Personally I’m just gonna call it the third tallest because I’m biased towards my home park and I don’t care to get into the details.
I’m excited to see them begin work on ride presentation now, hopefully the station construction ramps up now that the vertical construction has essentially come to a close.
I have a very nonstandard opinion on the records.
Tallest is based on the highest point on the ride, and it doesn't matter if it's shuttle or full circuit. Tallest is tallest. Tallest full circuit vs shuttle is its own record.
A ride closing doesn't "replace" its record either. Just because "is" became "was" doesn't change the record. It can only be broken by something surpassing it. Tallest "currently open" is again its own category.

When mentioning Red Force and its height as a comparison to Project Purple, you must also mention that Red Force had a drop of 345 feet. Which Due to the continuous upward spiral at the top, and a very low to the ground valley, Purple appears to have a full borderline 365+ foot drop.

I heard that instead of having occasional rollbacks like KK did, this ride will occasionally launch too strongly, shooting the trains off the top of the spiral. They are putting air mattresses on the nearby ground for such occasions. 
I think every comparison is fair. They just need to all be mentioned.
For example:
We’re talking about outer banks and no one has compared this to falcons flight yet which I think is interesting
Falcon has that crazy outerbank at the top of the canyon like 600 feet up that was listed as one of the marquee elements to the attraction But it’s minor compared to purples despite being half its elevation. Purples, outer bank experience will be significantly better.
To elaborate on this; red force does the same thing as Superman where the tower sits down a hill from the station vs project purple being on fairly flat ground.

It would be cool if they had a hold brake up there and you just spun around a few times. I know the risk of the brake not releasing isn't worth it though
The bigger problem is probably that it would tank capacity. Every moment spent on the course cuts into throughput pretty severely.
The more this goes on the more I think GVV was a misdirect. They’re leaning into it too hard and at this point they would have to be completely deaf to their fans to be hyping it up as much as they are if GVV was the name.

Given no plans leaked for this I doubt they would let the name leak and also feel like GVV isn't the name... even if it sounds similar to Tormenta Rampaging Run lol. This is giving me Siren's Curse vibes, so I feel like it will be a unique name with a unique storyline.
It's pretty clear based on the Pier signage and the new trailer that it'll be a sea monster. Pick your mythical beast.
I saw someone suggest Jörmungandr which would be a sick name for a roller coaster and make some sense as it’s a sea serpent (not sure how they’d tie in the jersey shore with Norse mythology but if done right could be pretty cool)

There's a lot of Scandinavian history down the shore in several towns so totally justifiable.
Most likely. They can't use Kraken, which is too bad because that's the obvious name.
I would love them for Cthulu but that would never happen.
