Okay....I've calmed down now, I'm gonna try being rational. I don't like the fact that it didn't hit 400 ft....in fact I'm a little pissed off about it....but in the end it probably won't have much effect on the actual ride experience. My worry is moreso locals will be able to tell the difference in height between Ka and this ride, because if they can....this could go really badly. I've definitely soured on this ride a bit with the news but I am still excited....but they better do a slam dunk job on the theming and presentation on this thing if they chose to save cost making this a shuttle and not hitting the 400 ft height marker.
I am surprised I guessed the height right. Are we still sure Phantom Spire is the name?
My money's on Not the Ka Replacement, We Promise 350
I honestly don't know how long the hang time will really last. Its a long section of track but you're also launching through it. No doubt the hang time will be there but I doubt it'll be as long lasting as it is on Flash.
Fair. I *hope* it's safe to say this won't have the pacing issues I perceive (I know for others it's a feature, not a bug) on Copperhead Strike
By that logic, though, you could just as easily say to others, "If height alone is that important to you, you must think The Parachuters' Perch was a better ride than Nitro and El Toro."
Ultimately, for me, no one factor makes a ride better or worse than another. I always preferred Nitro and El Toro over KK, despite the fact they they're slower and shorter.
I can understand people being disappointed about the height of this, but on the other hand, I appreciate that this ride seems to be focused more on creating an exciting launch sequence. And despite being shorter than KK, it's still going to be impressively tall.
Of course, we won't know until we ride it, but for now, based on what we know (or at least think we know), I'm optimistic that this will be a fun, exciting ride.

Worlds tallest inversion would be a pretty big get IMO, especially since Spitfire only opened a few months ago. I wouldn’t hold my breath on it though

In truth, I don’t really care about how tall this ride will be. The height was a “checked box”in my mind. Removed a strata and replaced with a new strata. Box checked. But it not being over 400ft to me magnifies the Low capacity and 2nd shuttle addition to the park in as many years issue.
I overlooked it being another shuttle. Now I’m kinda like damn this actually wasn’t a really smart addition lol
I’m sure it’ll be an awesome ride but I’m just waiting patiently for GAdv to get the CP treatment it deserves. I thought we were there finally

The coaster wars were a game of oneupmanship and excess. This coaster's design is a matter of cost-cutting and inadequacy, because now Six Flags mostly only has itself to compete with in the northeast (excluding Pennsylvania)

Here's an updated drawing of how far along the ride is. I've cropped the image a bit so the tower footers are off the bottom of the image.
Think we've figured those out:
1 Tallest Giga
2 Longest inversion
3 Tallest spinning coaster
4 Fastest spinning coaster
5 Longest spinning coaster
Holding Ryan to account, though: "bigger than" and "longer than" Ka? Seems unlikely but possible on both counts unless something changed since he teased those as recently as February. I'd have to double-check my math but 375' will fall short I think of exceeding Ka, even using the ride length vs track length fudge to get there. I originally calculated a 450' tower and it got the "longer than" record with many feet to spare.

Bigger than could be square footage, which while correct would be disingenuous because who ever compared coasters by that metric. I think in order for the track length traveled to be longer than Ka we will have to see multiple rotations around the tower itself
Several multiples. Ka was 3118'. Quick math puts new coaster at 3015'. That's assuming no spirals up. It'll have to to make up ~105 feet it needs to be a ride experience "longer than" Ka. Possible, which considering it's a shuttle and over 50' shorter would be low-key impressive. I'm pretty sure sq ft is how they're claiming "bigger than," and I agree a weak record to claim.
