Wait how about the Kuddly Ka or the Krusty Ka

It will never not be funny to me that Ka’s cars are carefully wrapped and protected from the elements, while Lantern’s are “just throw them back there somewhere who even cares.”
Need to preserve the trains for the National Roller Coaster Museum Some Dude in Texas’ Private Collection.

Someone needs to step up and open an actual no-shit roller coaster museum in a major city.

Given the theme of the area is a revamped Boardwalk... what if the new coaster is themed to some sort of sea creature or sea monster? I suppose Phantom Spire could work depending on the story line, but just a thought.
I said just this about 10 pages and 4 northdetective rants ago

Phantom spire the tower can be designed as a damaged lighthouse and a new coaster in the Ka plot can be titled some sea creature monster and have it interact or near miss the tower like its attacking it

and I said multiple summonings ago that's what I want out of Slop Spire. I even provided an architectural reference. Hope u enjoyed ur masturbatory hate fantasy though

I haven't been to Dollywood or SDC but I adore the localism in theming and the terrain integration of most of their rides. Unfortunately the pines are dead flat and there's not much to be done about it, but long term at Great Adventure I hope Joker gets removed and they really use the lakeshore to their advantage to give more of a distinct sense of place. Jersey Devil Coaster has my favorite theme of any ride there, so I hope they can lean more into local lore, which is always cheaper than IPs!!! and in my opinion much more enjoyable. Even though we know I don't love the spinner, I'm still hoping for the lighthouse concept for theming. It would be a great homage to the shore, and I think something that looks like the Tinicum Rear Range Light (pictured) would be a super recognizable structure for the park. This would cost a lot of money so I'm not expecting it, but I'm holding out hope "Phantom Spire" is a placeholder trademark

your entire existence on this site is a self serving masturbatory hate fantasy so that’s sort of ironic

Do I recommend it !!!

Planning on being there next month! Very excited for Tennessee Tornado and Mystery Mine. Love me a quirkoaster

If you think whatever is going on in the theme park world is a “cold hard reality” for me when this is a fun hobby, you’re in some really rough realities in your life. Get some help

Please stop bringing this thread back to grievance with a single user. Use DMs or Pointless Discussions or whatever, but this is a thread for a major, relevant, current project that no one wants to have constantly shoved back to @northdetective. Any further posts in that direction will be moved.

Back to the coaster.

If the idea is that the tower is going to be a “light house” will be interesting to see if the train ends up themed to the monster/phantom or something else. I think it would be cool to make this more of a Kraken/White Whale type themed coaster and then have the train be the creature trying the rip down the lighthouse.

I love to see the discussions here now that we know the boardwalk is getting a revamp.

If we were to see an abandoned lighthouse theme or something boardwalk themed integrated for this coaster, I’d honestly rather them use a different name than Phantom Spire. When I hear this name I think more gothic or supernatural, and I feel like the colors of the coaster indicate that too (track gives Banshee vibes + dark supports). Plus I feel like a spire alludes more to a cathedral or a dark, large tower more than a lighthouse.

Should they go with the Phantom Spire name, I honestly think the better move would be retheming the Golden Kingdom (or at least, some part of it) into something that ties to the gothic theme better.

Should they go the route of a different name, I could see them integrating the ride into the boardwalk more. GADV hinted they might trademark more than one name; Phantom Spire could just be a red herring to throw us off the scent even though it is a really good, viable name. If they do force it into the Boardwalk, I feel like the Phantom Spire name is a bit of a miss for me tbh. I’d rather a different name entirely if we're stuck with a pier theme.

Not trying to start an argument or shake the room, just sharing my thoughts :)

On that same note (sorry for the double post), but if this is truly a Boardwalk coaster, I’m not sure what they could name it that fits purple track, dark grey supports, and a 400+ foot height.

GADV knows we're nosy. They know enthusiasts are on top of every trademark filing the second it happens. On one hand, Phantom Spire could be a red herring just to get us buzzing. They’ve done this in the past with 300ft+ coasters; trademarking Centurion as a fakeout for Fury 325 and Polaris for Orion. Honestly, those two names were so simple they probably came up with them on the toilet.

By comparison, Phantom Spire feels like more than sitting-on-the-toilet thought was put into it. It’s a high-concept name that to me suggests a gothic, abandoned cathedral or graveyard vibe, especially if they play into the Ka tower being the literal "phantom spire" of the area. It feels way more sophisticated than those usual throwaway trademarks. Then again, look at Tormenta (the newest 300ft+ coaster); they trademarked that one name way in advance, and it ended up being the actual name.

Either the name is a total placeholder to distract us (which, if it is, is a very very clever one and someone deserves a raise for that) or there's more to the Phantom Spire "lore" than meets the eye.

well, I guessing phantom spire is an name for the six flags fiesta Texas coaster but that coater would still has a purple track and it rumoured to be themed to a lighthouse and it would have some horror theme going on

theres always this movie to get some inspiration from or get the rights for it:
