I remember in one of the drone videos (the ones taken from the lake) seeing something bright purple in the construction area. I’d imagine that’d be for the track, but we’ll find out for sure very soon probably

I kinda hope it's not purple track tbh green would still make sense as if it was the "phantom of the great king ka or something idk.

i think 100% it wont be blue or green to distance this attraction from kingda ka, its a completely different entity it seems & they are moving past golden kingdom entirely
As they should on both counts. Green/blue will just make some complain that they’re copying Ka/trying to erase it/whatever they come up with to be upset about that day, and Golden Kingdom was a beautifully themed dead end with very little to do on opening day and even less to do on closing day. When they do eventually revamp that area of the park, it needs to be much more connected and visible.

The comparisons it’ll draw are unavoidable, but an unrelated theme/color will certainly go a long way. I truly hope (and do believe) there’ll be a mass 180 on this project once we see it in action, Ka was great but honestly I’m taking an inverted launch and spinning over it any day.

It absolutely NEEDS to have a turntable, but even so, I really don’t see it faring much worse than Ka did in terms of capacity, and I’d wager it’ll do better than the years Ka wasn’t able to run simultaneously with Zumanjaro. The dual station was ditched so long ago that people who were riding it weren’t even born when both sides operated, and I’m almost positive it’ll have much higher uptime in general.

Anyone know if Mack has history with controlled/programmed spinning on their coasters? There's not much in the layout (you could end the sentence right here) to actually make the cars spin, and I think it would definitely enhance the outwardly banked turn to have something like a holding brake and a programmed spin at the top

It looks like it will use a sliding setup like the Mr Freeze clones—a setup far more efficient than a turntable since it allows each station to function entirely independently. Whether station A has been cleared for dispatch or not, station B can always accept its train back immediately to begin the unload and load process—effectively double-dipping on that window of time to unload, load, and clear trains. Similarly, if one station is facing a particularly unfortunate delay (say, a custodial incident) the other station can continue to cycle trains.

There aren't many coasters setup this way so I'm thrilled to see Mack/Six Flags investing in that setup here.

They use magnets to induce spin at certain points in the layouts of the existing extreme spinners as far as I know.

Ride to Happiness uses a magnet mounted part way down the first launch to give the trains some rotation going into the layout, so I expect to see something similar on the tower coaster.

Mack has used both motors to control rotation and kickers to influence a freely rotating vehicle on past attractions, including other xtreme spinning coasters. It is very possible one or both methods could be employed in this project.

Sliding station is all the more reason to fully enclose it. Maybe make it a sea cave?
Honestly I wouldn't expect anything too crazy, I think something kind of similar to what Siren's Curse has is most likely, maybe more theming in the queue itself. As much as this company has really upped their theming game they're still on a much smaller budget than what other chains have in terms of theming.

I’m not expecting much, but if I’m a park exec or anyone with power I’m pounding the table to make some room in the budget for an enclosed station. Presentation matters all the more now in the social media era, and I truly believe this coaster’s presentation matters arguably more than the coaster itself.

All that said I’m still not actually expecting it to happen. Would’ve been great for Rapterra, too. A dark station building just provides so much anticipation and excitement. The Mr Freeze upgrades are (maybe naïvely) giving me hope that SF at least acknowledges how powerful a dark, enclosed station can be. That’s the last I’ll say on it.
