I haven't been to Dollywood or SDC but I adore the localism in theming and the terrain integration of most of their rides. Unfortunately the pines are dead flat and there's not much to be done about it, but long term at Great Adventure I hope Joker gets removed and they really use the lakeshore to their advantage to give more of a distinct sense of place. Jersey Devil Coaster has my favorite theme of any ride there, so I hope they can lean more into local lore, which is always cheaper than IPs!!! and in my opinion much more enjoyable. Even though we know I don't love the spinner, I'm still hoping for the lighthouse concept for theming. It would be a great homage to the shore, and I think something that looks like the Tinicum Rear Range Light (pictured) would be a super recognizable structure for the park. This would cost a lot of money so I'm not expecting it, but I'm holding out hope "Phantom Spire" is a placeholder trademarkI will not tolerate Dollywood slander in this thread
Dollywood is one of the most elite parks out there. Completely Ignoring the setting of the park in the mountains and the surrounding towns being awesome tourist spots.( which significantly adds to the parks overall vibe) That park itself is simply spectacular. I have 3 kids, I’d go out of my way to take my family to Dollywood and pigeon forge for a week over a day or two at GADv. (Stinks to say that but it’s reality). We can’t compare GADv to Dollywood. They’re not on the same continent
