The name is growing on me, but it’s not at all the direction I was expecting for this. I’m curious if it means the boardwalk is being rethemed entirely, and not just upgraded like I had previously thought.

Either the survey email or some 'leaks' suggested it could be lighthouse themed. If those are correct, maybe they're going for a 'haunted lighthouse' angle, which would still fit the boardwalk.

How do we know this isn’t some placeholder like Project Rubi/Project Exodus was?

edit: Should clarify that I’m a massive fan of the name. Would love it if it turned out to be what the ride is called

Phantoms Spire is such a perfect name for the GA coaster. A spire is a tall, tapering tower or peak, and in biology it’s also the inner spiral of a seashell linking naturally to a beach or coastal theme. As a verb, to spire means to rise or shoot upward, just like the vertical, twisting motion of a Mack spinning tower. Add Phantoms for a supernatural, mysterious vibe, evoking haunted lighthouses or eerie seaside cliffs. It all lines up perfectly with the ride’s shape, motion, and theme, making this name appear totally intentional. Altogether, the name definitely seems like it’s for the GA coaster.

Not gonna lie, I like the name. The haunted lighthouse theme has high potential. I wonder what they’ll retheme Superman to, to align it with the boardwalk and Phantom Spire then?
They definitely do need to a complete over of the boardwalk section. It’s very outdated and ugly. I hope we get a brand new retheme and renovation. They could change the theme of Superman to pirates or something related. But I would honestly prefer the tower coaster to be in the Golden Kingdom and named “Kas Revenge” and bring some family attractions to restore the Golden Kingdom. It’s the best themed section of the park.

I second what most other people have said, I honestly love the name if this ends up being for Great Adventure's coaster. I think the boardwalk theme was stale to begin with and there wasn't much potential for growth/upgrade, so I'm glad they'd be taking a new direction with the area as far as theming.

When I first saw the trademark, I thought of Banshee's announcement video where the camera wanders through the haunted graveyard of past attractions, Son of Beast collapses, and Banshee springs out of the ground. While Banshee has a very loose theme, I'd love for them to really lean into the haunted/ghost/phantom theme with visuals, a pre-show, or even animatronics in/around the station area. On-board audio would also be sick, like traveling through an abandoned graveyard/church that you're not supposed to be in, with wind and creaking sound effects at the top of the tower as your cars tilt over the edge.

If this ends up being for GADV, I'd be stoked!
