I think the biggest issue that is the underlying factor in all of this is that GAdv hasn't gotten a custom coaster at all since 2006. Most custom coasters take years to plan, and GAdv has really never been considered for anything like that in nearly two decades. Maybe they are throwing in the towel and are allowing Hershey to be the coaster capital of the northeast, who knows.

Every coaster GAdv has recieved since 2006 has either been a relocation or something quick that they got off the shelf (Joker, JDC, Flash, and now this spinner). I wouldn't be surprised if an exact clone of this spinner is added to Magic Mountain to replace Superman.
With a DC name for both lol

At the end of the day we don’t really know what this is gonna look like. There could be a switch track, there could be a turntable, it could end up full circuit. It may not even be the Mack Spinner we’re thinking it is.

If I were to bet on it, I’d say it’ll be the spinning shuttle with a switch track for multiple trains. SF may have been stupid but CF isn’t.

Honestly I half expect if the 2026 coaster doesn’t go across the entrance gate, the next will. Just like CP and Carrowinds, the ticket booths are scheduled for demo (for the past 4 years), and doing a flyover as part of a new entry plaza would fit the CF/SF model of remodel the park entry and add a coaster at the same time to create a statement at the entrance.

I saw it too-- I wouldn't put too much stock in it. They aren't cancelling, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are changing plans. If this was something that relied on an overseas supplier for track, the cost would have doubled with the tantrum tariffs. It might mean we see things shifting industry wide.

I’d hate to get political, but I feel like the tariffs might be partially causing this delay and the Pantherian delay as well

Any parts coming from overseas are delayed and costing a LOT more right now.

This could actually be good news for some of the rides/coasters at SFA. If it's cheaper to move things than buy new, more things could find new homes depending on condition. Maybe Wild One could make its way to Great Adventure and fill the void of Rolling Thunder.

They did say on the earnings call that 30% of the capex budget is infrastructure projects. That is where they plan to cut back or delay projects in the event of a downturn. Investor Day is tomorrow and the long term plan for the chain going out to 2028 will be presented.

Like for all the parks in the chain’s additions??

My wishful thinking prediction (that's probably too far fetched) is that they know throwing something in Ka's plot off the shelf would upset alot of people and are taking the time to actually plan a worthy replacement.

A more realistic prediction is that this is the result of corporate looking at the low crowds at GAdv recently and over the past several years and believing that its too late to do anything with this park going forward that would make any sort of profit. I hope this person is lying, but if they're not, I can't say I didn't call this a couple of weeks ago.

so, what's gonna happen, did six flags great adventure knew about this coaster and its controversy it well have if it was built on kingda ka land, if that's the case, I guess they change the location of this coaster to green lantern and saving the kingda ka space for a another new coaster that could be the same height as kingda ka was

This has nothing to do with upset thoosies whining about Ka’s land. They’re going to build something there regardless of whether it’s the 2026 coaster or not.

In the admittedly unlikely event this happens, I’ll be absolutely ecstatic. A traditional wooden coaster is, in my opinion, the biggest void in their lineup even with last year’s removals.
