100% I’m keeping my expectations realistic but still trying to be optimistic for the future. These parks are my escape from the depressing reality of the real world. Does me no good to get depressed over the fate of Great Adventure when I have zero control. I also understand how some feel negative after how the first year has gone but at the same time it’s only been a year as of this July, I think it’s unfair to make such strong opinions about how the new leadership is doing at this point in time.

I really hope it doesn't take 20 years to fix GAdv. First I will be in my 60's by then so a 20 year time line is of little comfort even if I should live so long. Other thing is 20 years is too long to save a failing business, even 10 is awfully long. Moreover, I doubt Zimmerman would remain CEO for another 20 years, he will most likely retire before then and his successor will likely implement his or her own new plan rather than continue Zimmerman's plan. Long time frames increases the risk of failure, which is why long term investments must pay higher interest than short term investments. The new corporate management has done little to instil faith in them sad to say. Removing 8 rides in one season was bad enough, but to do it secretly shows a arrogant lack of transparency and respect for their clientele.
Hopefully with the demo of the temple they save the two needle palms trees that were growing behind it. NJ doesn't have many palms. Needle palms are the most cold hardy species of palms and easily survive NJ winters

I rode Flash today, and with how much I really enjoyed it, I think part of me is now hopeful again with what the park can achieve in the future.
I'm sure whatever the 2026 addition is will be good, but I seriously think the park needs one more coaster, probably one that serves as the GL replacement, before the park can really be considered as being on the upswing again. I don't mean to sound negative, as I'm actually hopeful that this can happen, I just think that the park in general needs alot of new rides, as one of GAdv's weaknesses that doesn't really get talked about is that it's been running with fundamentally the same lineup since the early 2000s (outside of JDC really, as all the other rides added since then have either been removed or aren't really relevant) and that sort of thing can tire out guests year after year when there isn't really anything new happening.
Flash is absolutely a step in the right direction as it makes the park as a whole feel alot more unique and new than it did before. That's why I'm stressing that they really need to nail these next few additions, because in my opinion that's all they'll need to do to make the park great again, outside of all the other improvements they want to make around the park.

2027: flat ride package (think of war on lines but without a coaster because we already have one in 2026)
2028: anything (another flat ride, a new water ride like a mack rides splash battle or new coaster)

Depending on the decisions about continuing with Looney Tunes or bringing Peanuts to the park, one of those years may see a revamp of the kids area(s) as the "new for 202X". Cedar Fair's track record has been to centralize the kids areas, and I could see that happening here with the remaining LTSP/WW/SK rides moving and being added to an extended LTNP to become Camp Snoopy all along the lakeside from the Bandstand to Yum Yum.
Would be a bit odd to see Road Runner Express/Lil Devil relocated again so soon, but I wouldn’t be against it. It would free up a lot of space near JDC/Nitro, and would further explain why Air Safari isn’t on the park site anymore, as having 2 jet rides next to each other would be pretty redundant.
if that's the case, maybe move the rides from that area over to where Great Lake grandstand used to be and the old ltsp/ww/sk gets redeveloped into the expansion space for either lakefront or pine barrens
Ooo, neat idea! A Camp Snoopy or similar woodland-themed family area could even integrate Frontier Adventures (at least The Fort and the Log Flume), yeah? I can see a large kids section along the lake being a super compelling solution.

I would love to see them use that space to go all in on the pine barrens theme, maybe give JDC some real theming and incorporate Nitro in somehow.
Definitely agree with ya here, I think 2028 would be a tilt coaster to replace green lantern, could be anything though.
said it in another thread, but i do think the entire area between harley quinn and JDC is the most in need of improvement once the dust settles with current work. tons of old outdated rides, which i do enjoy, but it feels like a boardwalk carnival, and the entire former wiggles/safari area has felt half-baked for years. this could include a skull mountain retheme/re-do, which is much overdue.
I used to be very active on GAH and easily the second most popular rumor outside of a coaster leading up to the announcements for 2020 (JDC announcement) was that of a new kids area. Kids areas at GAdv have to be the most neglected aspect of the park that never gets talked about, and I think it needs to be addressed very soon. Hopefully they have something planned for that in the future.
They don’t even use the concert venue they have, no need for them to build a new one. Those days are long gone.
if that's the case, what the best use for the fort indepence if that ever got rebuilt (a new dolphin show, no, that would angered peta. or a pirates themed stunt show like the ones from six flags America, ok, now we talking, or a arena built for outdoor shows that are not concerts)

Show Buildings and Event Spaces
Didn't see a topic on this and wanted to talk about this. At some point, this management is going to have to address the abundance of show buildings and venues that are taking up valuable real estate throughout the park. Going back even a decade, there were still regular performances, concerts...

Rather than moving Joker, which would be costly, maybe just retheme it to something pirate-related. Turn Harley Quinn back to "Blackbeard's Lost Treasure Train," and rename/retheme Joker to something like "The Rum Barrel Roller" or whatever (I just pulled that name off the top of my head, I'm sure they could think of something better.)
