Right now I'm definitely thinking there is some disagreements happening right now, there was definitely disagreements with removing Ka, that's how rumors made their way to El Toro Ryan and Coaster Studios. The park was adamant that they wanted to keep the ride but corporate forced their hands. Not to mention it would also be incredibly fast if plans are already firmly in place for Ka when the park wasn't removing the ride till 2025 just a few months ago. Then the park was forced to talk about the removal of Ka when they didn't want to because of the media frenzy and bad press. If they announced Ka's closure without some sort of replacement plan it would have been really bad, so they threw together some sort of half announcement and made the wording super unclear. If they were removing the ride they would have said so when people asked for clarification, instead of "we will be adding an all-new coaster in 2026". Of course, they would advertise any ride that reuses the existing structure as "all-new", you don't spend 30 million on a ride that reuses the existing structure only to tell people that it's the same exact ride. Also makes sense that right now it looks like the first part of the ride to go is the launch section (coasterspot found took a picture of the launch track and the cable is slacking) because no matter what it won't be reused. As for Zumanjaro, not surprised it's being removed, before these rumors started I was expecting it to be SBNO for the rest of Ka's life, if they are doing something to the tower like making new track I would expect them to take Zumanjaro down at the same time. I'm not saying that I think Intamin or someone will come in and do something to Ka but I am saying that I won't rule it out until that tower comes down.
