That seems normal for the soil conditions at this park. If you go back and look at the construction of Jersey Devil, The Flash, or even Kingda Ka, the footers were not very deep.

I am skeptical that they are going above 200 ft tall. Nothing was submitted to the FAA yet. The Ride to Happiness is only 108.3 ft tall and 55.9 mph, so it isn't difficult to break records with the Xtreme Spinner model.
I guess this is a reasonable explanation. That said, if they were to go with the 200ft model instead of the 400ft model, I imagine they’d definitely need to add another coaster down the line to compensate for the loss of the other rides, because with a model like the shuttle spinner, the only part about it that’d hold the general public off for awhile would be its height.

Looking at how far the markers go I find it hard to believe it’s not the 400 ft version. If it’s the 200 ft version….they might as well forget about saving the parks attendance.

The main pull for the coaster even with the bad talk is the height, they're going to alienate the GP if it really isn't that much taller than Nitro

According to TPB (theme park Brandon) a supervisor at the park told him that the most popular coaster there was Nitro, ridership wise. Despite it being so far away from the entrance, it still pulls good numbers. Height matters alot.

That’s the same guy who keeps saying that cedar point will add a 700 ft coaster with 200 inversions, correct?

I mean, Nitro being the most popular coaster in the park really isn’t that far fetched. It’s a B&M hyper, the tallest coaster in the park (that feels so wrong to say), and it’s one of the few B&Ms I’ve been on that I felt was truly phenomenal.

TPB is still full of shit most of the time, but a broken clock’s right twice a day.

Nitro being the most popular makes complete sense since it's a capacity machine and pretty rerideable, but I don't think it's popularity would bode well for a 200 foot tower coaster since it's neither of those. Just in my opinion but I think also that the tower coaster gimmick would completely fall flat at only 200 feet.

I do agree, but that said, if it really does have an inverted launch that alone may sell it. It’ll be something that you can’t get anywhere else in the world.

While I know TPB makes a ton of conclusions with less than sufficient evidence, I have no doubt it’s the most popular ride, but it’s more to do with the model than the height. B&M hypers might be the biggest people pleasing ride model ever.

A 200 foot version of this ride would just be flat out disrespectful as the Kingda Ka replacement. It’s not like locals don’t have other options, they’ve certainly showed the park that this year. If Six Flags thinks that is enough you can kiss any good will left goodbye, I know I wouldn’t buy a season pass next year.

If y'all thought Orion was the laughing stock of coasters... wait till this replacement is only 200 ft.
What if it's under 200' but an INSANE experience? Here's a little coaster (75') that looks like it packs a lot of punch--

I think people are fine with a ride under 200 feet if it’s a great layout. I know a lot of people are wanting an Intamin Blitz and most of those fall under 200 feet. It’s just people don’t want the 200 foot shuttle.
