Okay we all know that after the merger six flags has a lot of dept to pay off which makes a new major roller coaster and possibly new entrance not ideal for the company and with ggg being made in 2024 with the cost of retheme, repaint and remarketing the cost adds up to a 2025 opening and 2 major thrill rollercoasters in two years doesn't seem right given the state of the company I think the new mine train will make a whole much more sense for 2027 and 2028 or 2029 being the next thrill attraction to come to this park but I will be thrilled to be proven wrong. 357.png

I think the Mine Train replacement is one ambitious of a project as it involves replacing a park original, and isn't really going to boost up attendance numbers that much as that being where SFOG is struggling a little bit in that catagory, and also being a family centered ride, in which I think shouldn't nessesarily be the focus for now. They should play it safe first with the rumored B&M dive and market it as "Georgia's tallest, fastest and longest dive coaster" or "The Southeast's steepest dive coaster" if it were to a steeper drop like on Wrath of Rakshassa in terms of marketing and gain attraction and boost up attendence. Keep in mind that Goldrusher was a relocation from a park in Vietnam where its original plans feel through and was aquired by SF as a last minute decision for a discounted price. Adding to that, SFOG is a "core" park, so it will receive constant investments with the quality being on the scale of how its nearest legacy CF park Carrowinds or KI as another noteworthy legacy CF park received in the last 10-15 years.

Yes it was just a pointer but even if it was a relocation it doesn't change the cost of a average shuttle coaster because of all the changes it went through and it doesn't have to be in that plot or that model I'm just saying that a very family friendly new coaster would make a whole lot of sense and replacing a park original is actually extremely marketable

"Georgia’s largest amusement park has experienced a bumpy ride over the last few years."

"“It’s been a rough few years,” said Chris Foshee, regional public relations manager at Six Flags Entertainment Corp. But Foshee is optimistic. Next year, Six Flags Over Georgia turns 60. “We're already planning for multiple ways on how guests can help celebrate the park legacy and our tradition here in Atlanta,” he said."

"In 2026, the park plans to continue upgrading several food and beverage outlets as well as refreshing its landscaping, Foshee said.
The park is also “looking for more ways to engage with our community partners,” Foshee continued."

"Community partners are also looking for ways to engage with Six Flags. Since 2024, Mableton Mayor Michael Owens has been in talks with Six Flags Over Georgia and its parent company about building an entertainment district adjacent to the park, which is located within Mableton’s municipal boundary.
According to Owens, the Riverside EpiCenter, a large, multi-use community and entertainment facility located 2 miles from Six Flags, “has always been a part of this conversation,” he said. While the facility wasn’t designed as a “district,” added Owens, the city of Mableton is laying the groundwork to make the district possible. That includes infrastructure planning, developing partnerships and engaging community stakeholders. Owens said the district will “complement” the park, not compete with it.
While a “Six Flags Entertainment District” is a long-term play, Owens explained, “There will be very clear signs that Six Flags and the city of Mableton are partnering on initiatives.”"

Looks like SFOG wants to go all out for their 60th that's coming up soon despite some struggles that have occurred for a while. One person stated on the SFOG Facebook that the park is supposedly working on a coaster project, hencing the Go Karts area assuming its location. Asside this, it's stated that some type of entertainment center is considered to be built eventually to go along with SFOG, sighting the growing Atlanta market as the advantage or reasoning to do so.

It could happen... if Six Flags doesn't need to spend their own money to make it so. (As in, this isn't some naming sponsorship deal).

Atlanta: the capital of random companies making entertainment centers.😂 But this actually sounds awesome, we already have something like this, the battery next to the Braves stadium but a six flags version of that would do wonders.

I'm still looking out for a teaser, every park we know is getting a new ride/coaster has put out a teaser with "#_____2027" and still looking out for ours but still very hopeful that we will get a major thrill coaster in 2027👀

2027 is SFOG's 60th so it would make sense to receive a large scale investment by that time, as it is supposed to be a big year for the park as a whole. Also note that SFOG becomes fully owned by then, as SF already notified the partnership owners in December 2024 about the buyout being made and decided, and full ownership begins in January 2027. This was already brought up in the Facebook group by the way.
