Grace O’Malley was a famous Irish pirate and head of her clan. Once met with Queen Elizabeth and defied English unification. She control the ocean on the western Irish coast. Look her up. Stuff of legends…and a nice Irish bar/restaurant in Norfolk. :)

Rides don’t need IPs attached to them at all times. BGW especially doesn’t need IPa, since they have so much history of Europe to work with and the creative team at BGW is phenomenal.
Say it louder for people in the back. DarKastle was so beloved because it wasn’t an IP. Coming with a fresh unique concept is so much better.

IMO overuse of IPs in regional parks is a lazy way out of coming up with names or crafting storylines that make sense. It was AI slop before AI slop existed. (Looking at you Legacy SF for plopping DC themed rides everywhere and anywhere)

Also Time Bandits is an extremely British movie. More a Hastings-era thing than Ireland.

The idea of it is pretty funny, though. You wouldn't get away with omitting the exploding parents bit, which was the most popular part of the movie with kid test audiences at the time.

Make it a 4D thing and put it in the Globe. Not your father's Haunts of the Olde Country!

I made it as a joke given given the whole Irish & British thing
I have always wanted a family coaster in Ireland along the backside of Finneghans Flyer up to the hill behind the Abbey Stone Theater. However, that would require a lot of tera forming. But yes looks like the former sim building will be the 2028 addition. Would be cool if they installed a Vekoma suspended dark ride like the one opening this year down at Sea World Orlando and placed it inside the former Corkscrew Hill building. However, that too would require a lot of modifications. As I had previously stated, back in 2002 plans were to add a record breaking floorless coaster in the Ireland section since it was the new country for 2001. However, too much tree removal and water drainage would have taken away the beauty of that section of the park.

Crane at work and what appears to be large pieces of the pld sim ride platform being removed. This looks to be a full removal and gut.

Is the cave queue staying

I fully expect it to, but I don't have any info to say one way or the other. The amount of effort that would be required to remove it seems huge and it would be an enormous waste of an excellent, existing resource if you ask me.

Whatever story they're looking to tell in this space should be designed around the presence of the existing queue in my opinion. I suspect it will be.

What if the teaser that SeaWorld Orlando stated regarding “the beginning of the new friendship” likely means that they will add other Vakoma suspended dark ride models to other parks (possibly Williamsburg)

Those Reflectone ride platforms were pretty sweet for their vintage. Sad to see them go. Questor, KAC, CH, EITA, BFE... they did a lot. (Especially for Questor, tons of fun bouncing and rocking all over the place.)

I'm sure after 35 years it was time to say goodbye. I wonder what physical condition they were in after so many years of service. Reflectone itself still sort of exists as CAE USA after being shipped around a bit and ending up within the CAE galaxy. CAE USA does support legacy hardware, but did that include these platforms? Where did BGW go for replacement components? Does anyone here know?

I know that every time he has been askover the last few years Kevin has said that the sim platform had basically reached the end of it's service life.
