Say it louder for people in the back. DarKastle was so beloved because it wasn’t an IP. Coming with a fresh unique concept is so much better.Rides don’t need IPs attached to them at all times. BGW especially doesn’t need IPa, since they have so much history of Europe to work with and the creative team at BGW is phenomenal.
I have always wanted a family coaster in Ireland along the backside of Finneghans Flyer up to the hill behind the Abbey Stone Theater. However, that would require a lot of tera forming. But yes looks like the former sim building will be the 2028 addition. Would be cool if they installed a Vekoma suspended dark ride like the one opening this year down at Sea World Orlando and placed it inside the former Corkscrew Hill building. However, that too would require a lot of modifications. As I had previously stated, back in 2002 plans were to add a record breaking floorless coaster in the Ireland section since it was the new country for 2001. However, too much tree removal and water drainage would have taken away the beauty of that section of the park.I made it as a joke given given the whole Irish & British thing
Is the cave queue staying
I know that every time he has been askover the last few years Kevin has said that the sim platform had basically reached the end of it's service life. Those Reflectone ride platforms were pretty sweet for their vintage. Sad to see them go. Questor, KAC, CH, EITA, BFE... they did a lot. (Especially for Questor, tons of fun bouncing and rocking all over the place.)
I'm sure after 35 years it was time to say goodbye. I wonder what physical condition they were in after so many years of service. Reflectone itself still sort of exists as CAE USA after being shipped around a bit and ending up within the CAE galaxy. CAE USA does support legacy hardware, but did that include these platforms? Where did BGW go for replacement components? Does anyone here know?
