Hey friends!

Yesterday I had a little bit of time to spare, so I headed over to SeaWorld Orlando to check out the latest on the construction of SeaQuest. Keep in mind, I did not head into the park but was able to catch some footage from the parking lot. At the time of my visit, no work was currently happening, but it seems like crews have completed a sizable amount of ground work. It also seems like a good chunk of the show building's steel supports have arrived on site and are awaiting to be installed. I filmed a 5 minute construction update so if you are interested in it, feel free to check it out!

I’d love to be optimistic on this, but given that the last two dark ride attempts have had massive holes budgeted out of them, I can’t really say I’m too exited about this.
honestly I wasn't either until after seeing the ride vehicle in person at IAAPA. The ride system should be cool, hopefully SeaWorld doesn't skimp out the theming.

I think that's the big concern though. This ride is for THIS YEAR and it not only needs to be built and themed, but it needs a whole, hopefully, themed building enclosing it! That's an awful lot.

Thanks for posting!! We gotta be looking at around July 4 as best case scenario for opening. Even that seems pushing it if there is much in the way of built up theming, unless it's built off site and delivered.
