I know that they may not be wanting to have new projects with Intamin, but it would make sense. If it is Vekoma, there are not many US fist coaster options by them other than the launched flyer.

Would a launched flying model be all that bad?
Honestly I kind of wonder due to the circumstances going on with Escape from Krypton; if this might be effectively the "Superman" coaster to replace the "Superman" coaster. Something that better represents the character while also being a varied and unique coaster that isn't seen at all in NA.

No, a launched flyer would be amazing, but I don't see it happening due to Tatsu. This is exactly why I think Intamin is more likely.

It says it on the bottom right corner of the plans and page one says it is a Thrill Glider Roller Coaster

Since this is North America's first Vekoma Thrill Glider, I am curious which park is building the first one.
^The big draw here is the seats aren't just regular inverted seats, the Thrill Glider is effectively an inverted motorbike:
