Whole thing is coming down. Current structure has two platforms that are too small for a pair of raft slide starting tubs and Proslide will want to use their own anyhow.
Since I threw a hissy fit about it some people have since said that the tower suffered from some mechanical issues while another said that Knott's had been seeking a replacement for years. It's been clear that this tower was always a copy paste and not completely suited to that park's specific needs, but again its counterparts seem to do fine so idk.
