Always love to see more of these giant family raft rides built. Two of them—both of quick are super visually interesting—seems like a big win for Knott's!

Honestly a fantastic addition to Knott's Soak City if...and only if...they don't come at the cost of replacing something else. The animation almost makes it look like they're replacing the park's drop capsule slides, but I'm hoping they just plunked them down somewhere to create a visual and aren't actually building them there as losing four body slides and two tube slides for these would be a pretty poor trade.
Edit: Just saw it confirmed elsewhere that these are replacing Shore Break. Kind of disappointing that they're choosing to tear out their newest slides for this.

Yeah, really don't get the motive here. Why Shore Break and not any of the older slides?
I’m curious if it’s a capacity concern on the current (and new) drop slides. They can be a pain to operate unless there’s one guard per slide, plus’s they can’t load another person until the lifeguard at the bottom of the slide opens it up once it’s clear. By replacing it with two family raft slides , they can load multiple guests at a time and get more throughput out of it with only 2 life guards at the tower, 2 in the bottom pool for both slides.
Hasn't Six Flags been removing even pretty new drop slides lately at other water parks? Feels like the Larson Loop situation where Six Flags bought a bunch of something, realized they hated it, and are now dumping them. Obviously the situation at Knott's is a little different since it's a legacy Cedar Fair property, but it does feel like Six Flags sorta has it out for drop slides...?
This feels like a distinct Knott's decision. The waterpark's last big capital was in 2017, where they added Shore Break and the other raft slide replacing their Tornado. The latter meanwhile was built in 2007. So they've essentially been swapping out rides each decade.
There were ways to add in these raft slides WITHOUT removing a newer set of slides, so yeah this was definitely a choice to get rid of that tower. Which is odd because said cloned tower performs better at the other parks and Six Flags has a great ongoing relationship with WhiteWater West.
Curious as to whether we see Shore Break pop up at another Six Flags property, I'm sure there's a handful with flat space that would take it. Don't think we saw the Tornado resurface elsewhere though.

Not likely, but I hope they ship it to SFNE lol. They lost both their drop slides (the shitty complex from SplashTacular) and their prototype ProSlide water coaster with nothing replacing either. Their water park desperately needs the added capacity.
There is the matter of trucking a slide tower cross country (one of the smaller factors why no inventory from SFA is known to have gone out west) but you're right, this would be perfect for SFNE. Fingers crossed this is the case.
So after talking with someone who works at the park, the decision makes a little more sense. Apparently Shore Break requires six lifeguards for all slides to be open, yet the four body slides and two tube slides together only accommodate around 400 guests per hour. By comparison, the new attraction is anticipated to be capable of handling triple that number with only four lifeguards at the attraction. The waterpark is also landlocked by surrounding streets and other features on the property, meaning it was either replace Shore Break or replace Malibu Run and Old Man Falls (which does over 600 guests per hour with five lifeguards, and are better slides imo).
