I won’t miss that entrance sign at all. I always thought it looked tacky, especially the weird green “splat” design used there and in a few signs throughout the queue. Another win for this project.
I also noticed the old Black Forest Tours sign is also gone.

Last I knew there are plans to bring the sign back in a different way.

Looks like I have a polar opposite.
This guy apparently loved the way the ride was before and is bemoaning the changes? Meanwhile, I’m its former biggest hater ready to re-evaluate it. The new theming (including fake-out track) is looking better than the ride ever did even at original opening.

I’m excited for the revamp! I did love the original Verbolten and effects, but I think the new effects will actually be better. However, I think Frau Hexel sucks and is a boring character, so I may or may not have or may not have reached out to the designers about giving her a better role. But I don’t want to kill the fun unlike the troll.
Anyways I also suggested that if the cars get repainted doing a purple car. Heck I would die for a purple car instead of yellow. The reason I say that is yellow doesn’t fit the vibe because yellow=happy and you’re not happy in the Black Forest, while purple represents mystery and such. But that’s just my opinion.

Finally saw the fake track this AM while jogging past. Looks great!
Kind of curious if some of these thematic elements were originally planned but scope of project became smaller when looking at budget.
