Same here - central Jersey boy here (raised literally down the street from Great Adventure), so Seaside was our boardwalk of choice growing up. Now, as a firm South Jersey resident (and I mean south), we go to Wildwood.

Yea, the trauma that Seaside went through over 2012-2013 was scarring for sure. Haven't been in a few years, hope its been able to bounce back. Hydrus is a lot of fun.

They did an amazing job rebuilding. But itll
Never be the same. Casino and Funtime piers the salt water taffy store fronts and the antique carousel’s not to mention the variation of boardwalk games that would be shunned today like “shoot osama” the paintball gun game.

Anywho.

It’s nice to see them continue to add things to really embrace the boardwalk. The Jersey shore is as iconic as NYC is to this area.

Something I’ve been meaning to ask,
Due to my career and having 3 kids two of which are under 3, getting to great adventure isn’t the easiest. We spent more time this summer at hurricane harbor. I didn’t even enter the amusement park this year. Now that the bulk of the season is over (obviously freight fest and holiday will draw huge crowds so it’s slightly skewed) With the removal of all those rides and now the addition of pier and the addition and hype with construction of Bak,
How has the attendance been ?

Would you say it was better than the last 2 years ?

Would you say it’s gotten better as pier and bak progressed?

I’m really intrigued

I ask because to me ROI is everything for these parks so if we’re seeing growth or returning customers then I can internally expect (within reason) further grand additions.

I’m unsure if statistical data per quarter or season has been released so I guess I’m asking based on yalls best assumptions via what you’ve experienced and seen.

Thanks

I have made 3 trips one spring, one late lste summer, and one Sunday but was not there for frightfest as it was a brief stop over between Dorney and an event I was attending in Philly Sunday night. All three eere on non peak times especially Sunday's one as it was raining fairly decently most of the time. All three dayd had better attendance then I was expecting. I feel like the park is turning the corner finally.

I was there on a Monday at the end of August and I had to buy Fast Lane because the lines were so long. That was basically unheard of the past couple years, even when Kingda Ka was operational.
