I just spent the last week at IAAPA and was able to check out the Sally booth. If you are interested, here is the full demo of all three modes for the animatronics for Phantom Theater. If you listen closely, you can hear the ghosts talk about the story line of the ride!

Here is the video that was playing on the side of the display at IAAPA. It's neat that it shows a lot of the work going into the ride making the animatronics, etc. It is truly a miracle that this ride is happening given the state of Six Flags!

Big win for the park. It seems like you could enjoy it even if you choose not to take part in the shooting part of the ride with the flashlight. I expect to see this or something similar replace the Boo Blasters at King's Dominion.

Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare is a very welcome upgrade from Boo Blasters on Boo Hill. While it doesn't have the same eerie-spooky atmosphere of the original, the new attraction is full of detail, color, and movement with a high re-rideability factor.

Opening day of Opening Nightmare seemed to go fairly well. We waited a little over 1.5 hours at the end of the night. Earlier in the day it seemed the number of FastLane riders was really making the stand-by line crawl.
