They were careful not to call it a coaster, but I can't see an early announcement for a flat ride or something that won't start construction early.
I guess but here's hoping some of the other parks get stuff before 2027. That's a long time for parks who have been waiting already...To be fair, I think they just dumped all of their planned 2026 cap-ex in one go with no consideration for timelines.
Someone needs to make "2026 Family Thrill Attraction Enthusiast" t-shirts for opening day 2025.Family Thrill Attraction is an interesting description of a ride.

There was some projects that are a no-show, like Montezooma for Knotts, or Cedar Point Shores/Dorney's water slide replacements previously teased for 2025 - a new slide tower would be marketable but not a huge drain on Capx. Also strange not to single out Six Flags New England, which has been rumored for waterpark enhancements (replacements for SBNO waterslides and a new entrance where Thomas Town was, maybe making it its own gate) for a while now. From the last earnings call:

As Brian mentioned, over the next 2 years we plan to invest $500 million to $525 million annually in capital expenditures across the portfolio. This will include investing approximately $325 million to $350 million each year on marketable new attractions and revenue centers and investing another $175 million each year on infrastructure improvements. Our marketable capital projects will be focused on the parks that generate the highest levels of potential cash flow, ensuring that our investments will drive the greatest possible returns.
Honestly, with the survey stuff being probably true, I think you all are worrying about the wrong thing. I think we should be FAR more worried about the fact that the beast 2.0 extension kings island surveyed for may ACTUALLY be real.I used to think that for a bit, but SFOT getting a “Record breaking dive coaster” after MANY surveys over the summer talked about a giga dive sorta tipped me off.
Baynum painting, gravity kraft(gravity group), GCI, and Clermont are the ones that caught my eye, though the manufacturers could simply be for maintenance of existing ridesA new notice of commencement was filed by the park with Warren County for 2024 & 2025. These documents can sometimes hint at future additions by providing a list of companies contracted to work in the park those years.

I literally came here to post this exact idea. Damn you!Perfect timing for something I realized a while ago. If they’re calling for a “family thrill attraction” without specifying anything….could this be a family friendly replacement for the Crypt?

Our novelty The „Wild Swing“ is our latest development in the carousel area. The gondola, which has 8 individual seats on each side, swings freely and is driven by two electric motors. For full ride comfort, we have used individual foam seats with restraiartengineering.de
Something is happening. Not sure if this is for Conjuring or the 2026 project.Keep an eye on The Crypt building. I haven't seen anyone post pictures yet, but it sounds like the Halloween Haunt maze is being removed from the building.
