They were careful not to call it a coaster, but I can't see an early announcement for a flat ride or something that won't start construction early. Two thoughts come to mind:
1. What if they demolish The Crypt/Tomb Raider building for this?
2. What if this is a prototype being shown off at IAAPA this month?

To be fair, I think they just dumped all of their planned 2026 cap-ex in one go with no consideration for timelines.

I guess but here's hoping some of the other parks get stuff before 2027. That's a long time for parks who have been waiting already...

As Brian mentioned, over the next 2 years we plan to invest $500 million to $525 million annually in capital expenditures across the portfolio. This will include investing approximately $325 million to $350 million each year on marketable new attractions and revenue centers and investing another $175 million each year on infrastructure improvements. Our marketable capital projects will be focused on the parks that generate the highest levels of potential cash flow, ensuring that our investments will drive the greatest possible returns.

There was some projects that are a no-show, like Montezooma for Knotts, or Cedar Point Shores/Dorney's water slide replacements previously teased for 2025 - a new slide tower would be marketable but not a huge drain on Capx. Also strange not to single out Six Flags New England, which has been rumored for waterpark enhancements (replacements for SBNO waterslides and a new entrance where Thomas Town was, maybe making it its own gate) for a while now.

But I guess if they're talking kid's areas and family thrill attractions for 2026, those are either pushed back or paused for now. Just saying, that's a lot of parks taking a big off-year(s) if this is really all there is. Hope there's room for some mid-to-low budget attraction additions, along with upkeep at the parks not mentioned.

I used to think that for a bit, but SFOT getting a “Record breaking dive coaster” after MANY surveys over the summer talked about a giga dive sorta tipped me off.
Honestly, with the survey stuff being probably true, I think you all are worrying about the wrong thing. I think we should be FAR more worried about the fact that the beast 2.0 extension kings island surveyed for may ACTUALLY be real.

A new notice of commencement was filed by the park with Warren County for 2024 & 2025. These documents can sometimes hint at future additions by providing a list of companies contracted to work in the park those years.

Baynum painting, gravity kraft(gravity group), GCI, and Clermont are the ones that caught my eye, though the manufacturers could simply be for maintenance of existing rides

Perfect timing for something I realized a while ago. If they’re calling for a “family thrill attraction” without specifying anything….could this be a family friendly replacement for the Crypt?

Danse Macabre ride system in the Crypt building. High theming. Six Flags pivoting to an emphasis on dark rides.

Jk but I can dream. Hopefully if this is an indoor attraction they go all out, though
