from the looks of the fence, its a construction fence on the 2026 addition, because where else a halloween haunt maze has a contraction fence with that kind of message?

It is just an generic reusable fence cover, don't read too much into it.

All we know for certain is that the longtime Haunt maze previously housed inside is no longer there and Plague Productions (spooky design agency) was working on site at the time of the photo (which I wasn't aware of when I shared the fence pic).

More rumored is that there's a second new maze happening in addition to Conjuring, and the Blackout venue is up for grabs.

What isn't clear is what spots Conjuring and Other New Maze will take, or if neither are going in The Crypt building in favor of Le Project 2026.

Yet another reason to wish KI was still my home park (though I don’t miss living in Indianapolis). I definitely need to get back there someday.

This is so awesome. This season has been a disaster for Six Flags operationally, but it seems like they’re still making the right decisions when it comes to cap ex projects. A new dark ride based on a park-specific original IP is such a huge win.

Yeah, remember that KI’s Boo Blasters is an Omnimover-style ride system that was itself a reskin of the original Phantom Theater. It’s not a single-car dark ride like most Sally dark rides and the other Boo Blasters.

Honestly had no idea as I had skipped Boo Blasters both times I went to KI, definitely important context to have. Thanks for the clarification!

Amusement Today came out with an article that has some more details that have not yet been released. Probably the most important being that this ride will feature 33 animatronics and 1 static figure. https://amusementtoday.com/issues/2025/202511ii/assets/downloads/AT-NOV-II-2025i.pdf

Kings Island also put out a video showing the completed demolition work inside the building.

They removed 1/2 the gondolas and 1/2 the capacity when they changed it from Phantom Theater to Scooby Doo because of the shooting.
