Looks like I was on to something with the phases on flat rock. It’s going in order, we are at the bird temple phase that means the next one is the feline. I just wonder if the X means anything.

Backlot was also briefly talked about during the ACE event the statement was essentially while I can't discuss future plans a car themed ride in a jungle themed area doesn't really fit. That seems like a pretty major hint of a upcoming retheme.

That could also refer to I305. Maybe both. 🤔

Do you know who said that?

Forget his name but the media and public relations head for the park. He was specifically referencing Backlot at the time and did not do so for either I305 or Flight of Fear which doesn't of course rule out work on either.

Had a chance to ride I305 twice this past Saturday. I was impressed with the ride's speed. Enjoyed the late evening rides in the last two rows of the train. I know this has been discussed in the past, but is it possible that KD is preparing for re-themes for both I305, Stunt Coaster and Flight of Fear? If I305 is re-themed to match the Jungle X area, what theme would work for this ride? So far, we already have two reptile themed rides in Jungle X area. What's to come for our car themed rides?

I really enjoy the lore of Jungle X-Pedition and feel it could bring some great themes to our existing rides in that area. I for one think it would be cool if they continued this temple theme and gave I305 a Cheetah theme. It may seem similar to the Cheetah Run approach, but I305 has more speed than Cheetah Run. I could see an entire station re-theme with a cool lighting effect that emphasizes the power of the Cheetah possessing you. I'd add pyrotechnics on the side of the track, for a cool night time experience.

My gut is that any ride rethemes will come in stages with it probably being Backlot first since it's more centrally located in Jungle X and then maybe Flight of Fear and I305 as a pair later. I would be very surprised to see all 3 done at once and logically it would be an odd choice to do I305 and leave Flight of Fear in the middle.

I could see them just leaving Flight of Fear as is before retheming the car themed rides. You can finesse FOF being back there in some way "random government research lab in a jungle" isn't as far fetched as Backlot and I305s themes are for the area.

I said the same thing. It would make sense to have a Bureau located away from people, so a jungle is idea. I just wish they would actually include some aliens in the ride. The upper platform of the ride is the best spot for a animatronic.

It would be cool to feature of the Whey Foundation Research videos inside the queue area. Maybe in the lore, members of the Whey Foundation are talking about the discovery the abandoned military base and the project that the Bureau was working on. The portal was obviously shut off, but the Whey Foundation made a terrible mistake turning the portal back on.

There are a tone of cool things they can do to make Flight of Fear a totally immersvive experience. The indoor hanger area is just dying for a queue overhaul. Why have the big wall up? I'd say the old maze can be repurposed to fit the Whey Foundation theme. Darken the queue area or give it some multi-color lights and we can have our 2009 ride experience again. During the summer months, a dimly lit queue would feel better, than the bright lights they have up.

i305 is not a monument to Dale Earnhardt. It's a licensed theme for a rollercoaster. They pay money to put his name on it and they can certainly opt to stop paying for it and change the theme.
You're right. It's a tribute to Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Was - but it's still a licensed theme. One that could lower costs if they don't renew whatever contract is in place assuming it comes up for renewal often enough.
