As one would expect, there is a powerful lot of hate and complaining on Facebook about the ride. Way too many thoosies who think it should have been a thrill ride going 400 mph with a 1000 foot drop. I watched several on-ride videos and I'm impressed with the smoothness and theming. I really look forward to riding this.
Same, that is not tolerated.
Rode tonight and smiled the entire time. It's not the original, but it's still really fun.
I didn't do the test seat as I've ridden Phoenix Rising. I'm 6.4, 250 and found the seat to be fine. Shoulder height is what normally gets me, no problem here. Sorry for the ones who didn't get to ride due to size. It happened to me once on Pipeline. It's not fun.

The facebook hate about it being a family coaster and the park needs a mammoth of a ride I bet are more so couch potatos who barely go to parks then actual thoosies
BGWFans was just called a park shill account and blocked on Twitter by a thoosie for the sin of praising the ride's theming. There's definitely a weird subset of thoosies out there tonight who are angry about this coaster for whatever reason.

What theee. Some just want to watch the world burn. If anything a positive for those thoosies is it makes lines shorter for their big rides

I can't actually fathom anyone seeing anything about this coaster and thinking it isn't fair to call the scenic work great... like that seems like the absolute least controversial possible take and yet...

My mouth is watering. I bet my friend who’s scared of big drops will look at this like “yeah I can definitely do that.” Then we roll up and he’s like “uh I still need to decide.” 10 mins later we’re in line and he’s repeatedly asking me about drops. He holds back one more time when we get on then he straps in asking the ops “is it bad?” When dispatching he finally goes “I can’t do it,” starts crying in fear as we go up the lift, and once we go over the drop: “aaaaaaAAAAAUUUGH!!!” *holds on to both restraints for dear life*
Oh spicy…..and quite astonishing that a naysayer actually reacts to our praise.
The way the eyes glow as the train dispatches is such a cool vibe. Officially the best trains in the park!

Wild to think there’s a possibility that I would make it clear on the most restrictive RMC seating but might not clear this one because I love cycling and have developed quite the donk from it. C’est la vie.
Regardless, I think this is as much an overdue triumph for the park as the building of Pantheon was. United Parks really got out of the game of installing world class roller coasters for (imo) their best park in the chain for a whole decade, then got back to business and put an incredible swing launch roller coaster and what looks like the best family roller coaster in the country, non-Disney/Dollywood division. Hope they find a way to get one more bite at the world class coaster apple before the decade is out but the Garden of Invention and Ireland need some help.
Looks fun! My five year old is itching to go ride it soon!
A small group of roller coaster enthusiasts will complain about this ride. Theme park enthusiasts will love it. People who consider themselves both will also love it. Massive win for the park and proof they should double/triple/quadruple down on theming and guest experience. I don’t mind if I can’t ride if it’s part of a greater trend towards improving the park!
no wristbands, just show membership at the entrance. line was basically nonexistent at 12:45 and we rode twice back to back.
I was only able to ride once. Waited about an hour for the back row. I tried to come back for the passholder event but the line was already stretched to the Drachen Fire arch and was posting a 3.5-4 hour wait at 10pm.
Not a huge fan of the lack of shade. I think they should add a few covered structures at the very least. A bit more theming would be really nice too. The queue is largely just open space with planters dividing where the queue goes. The station is really well-done though, There are tons of little details spread around like the carved blue dragon heads in the station and the barrels in the rafters. I do love the area around the Drachen Fire arch. They did a great job with the theming over in that corner of the park.
The train's eyes glow, which is a very nice touch! The operators also ring a large bell every once in a while. Everyone clapped and cheered when the bell went off.
The station itself was a clusterfuck. Everyone wanted to wait for the front so it blocked the line for everyone else.
The ride itself is great! Lots of swoopy turns and near miss elements. The park did a fantastic job with the Bavarian village although I was hoping there would be a few more buildings to fly in and out of. I dig the ending around the maypole and the fun audio playing on the speakers. I really hope they don't break like Phoenix's audio did.
