Do we think that the trains will arrive soon, and testing will begin in February/March?
The trains are on site. Lots of work still needs to be done before trains are sent around. All electrical still needs installation along with lift chains and air. March does sound likely for first cycles if all goes well in February.
That looks gorgeous! The village is the best part.
I really like the sharp changes in direction while having potential for airtime during the twist. There are several places after both lifts that do this. I am very excited to try this one out.
Thinking of making my Virgina trip this May and visiting the park for the first time. Definitely not a dealbreaker for this ride being open or not to visit, but was planning my trip before Memorial Day. That said, when do we think it will open? I'm sensing mid-late June or 4th of July weekend with how delays and testing usually goes.
I'm glad that The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf's Revenge already looks as good as it does with its new village theming. One can only imagine what this whole ride area will look like when it's new landscaping comes in and the entire village theming is complete. One of my greatest disappointments in life was never riding the original Big Bad Wolf because of how scared I was of roller coasters as a kid (Loch Ness Monster funnily enough was the culprit behind that), but the new Big Bad Wolf already looks like a fun and really well themed ride that I'm very excited to get on this year.
You would have loved it! I’ve ridden nothing like it since, truly a special coaster. I hope this one is just as special in its own world!

That village looks awesome. I'm really glad they went with full 3D buildings and not just 2D plywood facades like the original plans showed. I hope the rest of the planned buildings start to show up soon.
^ ...were there more buildings planned than those? I recall them surrounding the far turnaround, but none elsewhere in the layout.

Can you imagine what BGW would charge for RENT in one of those houses? Wolf hauntings and all, I bet utilities, HOA, and HOS are all extra.
Anyone know what these are? The colorful items.
