I'm just throwing this out there, but is their any chance it could be a smaller scale RMC

Re: Storm Chaser at Kentucky Kingdom?

Even though it's 'smaller' that coaster packs a surprising punch for its size

On the subject, something like Lightning Run would be welcome too

I get that people want a massive icon, but the realities of the industry rn point to that not happening

Isnt there a plot somewhere near invadR thats usable too? I think ive heard people on here mention one
Not really you have this area that was designated for an event building at one time but it's to small and tight for a major attraction.

If this is a family coaster, would there not be a bunch of other kids attractions in the area. Having kids areas set aside wouldn't be a bad thing, especially with the current disjointed approach to current kids attractions in the park.

I’m not disappointed. Sure, a rmc hyper hybrid would have been Insane here and awesome but I’ve learned to take every addition with an open mind. I’m excited for whatever this will be, and unless it’s a zamperla thunderbolt I won’t be mad.

Also I’m kinda happy spire got cancelled? I know I’m going to be flamed for it but that was such a stupid way to win back the VA height record. It just seems tacky and a cheap attempt to get it back. Just a personal view on the project.

Spire was a silly project IMO, as you said a stupid way to win back a height record

Remember how CP built TTD and everyone assumed their next major coaster would be taller, only to get Maverick instead?

I wonder if such a scenario is playing out here, where even if the coaster we get is small and hugs the ground, it could still be a fun and intense ride?

The only family B&M inverts operating are the 2 in China, so unless somebody here has been on one, we don’t quite know what they are like. I don’t personally have a ton of optimism on B&M family inverts as something I’d be interested in riding frequently based on the layouts I’ve seen and my previous experiences with B&M inverts. I do have interest in riding Dragonflier again so I hope it’s more like that than something VERY tame.

I am still holding out hope for B&M updating the family invert vehicles to swing. If this is a non-swinging invert, I will forever call it Son of Alpengeist.

I am now even more excited to visit other parks for the 2025 season...

BGW is wasting opportunities left, right, and (back.) The park has a golden chance to "i305" that area, and they clearly cannot make it happen. They will likely develop it as a lite Hamlet with a lite coaster to tie it all in, and have lite attendance to show for it. I hope I am wrong, but I somehow feel that I'm not.

I never mean to be overly negative, but decisions like these are why I cannot get excited about this park as I used to. Someone in the ranks feels that Pantheon was enough, and they are dead wrong.

I hope Cedar Fair pays attention to the incompetency of these moves and wows the crowd with their next few additions in Doswell since BGW continues to navigate its seemingly "meandering pattern of Meh."

At least we have a nice Nessie in the interim...

According to Park Execs / Corporate, the only requirement for this ride is shown in this image: 42"

We can only hope that it's a well themed, BBW call back with something very unique for the area. But I have to echo everything Zachary said. Using this real estate is a crime. As an enthusiast, I believe plot needs an iconic attraction - one that we've been anticipating with very real information suggesting it. (explicitly planning for it?) It's a shame.

At the same time, I disagree about this not getting a strong ROI. Make no mistake, a 42" attraction for families is the HIGHEST possible ROI attraction. It will bring families, especially during programming for a 50 year anniversary. Trust me. At the cost of a family coaster, they will expand their demographics to more families which have and spend more money. DarKoaster is a bonus. Sure, back to back family attractions are happening, but we really need to think about that ride as a bonus.

But, again, using this land this way is a crime. I think Pantheon was largely a huge disappointment from a park standpoint (lack of theming, location, COVID, etc) - even though it's a great ride - and I see a lot of the same mistakes being likely here. Will it matter? Maybe not. And there's a lot of smart decisioning here. But I'm nervous.
