I'd wager it'll essentially be how they did Verbolten. Make unmistakable (but not necessarily official) references to get people excited, but keep it distinct. At least I hope that's what happens. I trust BGW to be smart about theming when the budget is there, I just don't trust the budget will always be there.

The original Pantheon bridge and plaza from Italy would've been perfect. I wish we could get that back.

I fear this is gearing up to be the roller coaster equivalent of when Chrysler created the PT Cruiser as a way to follow-up on nostalgia for 1950's Hot Rods...
Some loved it, most hated it, knowing what really was (and had been) - could not/ should not be resurrected in that way.
Or like the recent announcement that Linkin Park has reunited with a new singer and are putting out their first album since Chester Bennington's passing.

Well roller coasters can't be scientologists or sexual assault apologists last time I checked so that's good at least. BGW won't have the guy from the Mars Volta on their ass

Good point. At least B&M is a reputable manufacturer.
B&M is VERY strict about their brands image- I can't think of any major accident on any B&M, or any major problems B&M has had. The only downside is that as a result, B&M is a much more conservative manufacturer.

Does anyone have an estimate on when they'll announce it? They have yet to release "Chapter 3" of the teaser. I was betting on September 6 just because that's the day that DarKoaster was announced.

Well in that case... enjoy this quick POV of our reworked layout prediction!

A while back, @Zachary and I noticed that the most recently filed footer plans varied quite a bit from the initial plans. The general top-down layout remained the same, but quite a few supports were altered, leading to our assumption that the layout shaping was refined & arguably improved. That brings us to this POV and 'V2' layout. A few highlights of this 2nd version, compared to our first prediction:
  • -Slightly larger first drop
  • -Possible twisty double-down
  • -Dive underneath the Lift #2 brake section
  • -Reshaped & reorganized turnaround section
  • -Possible fly-through of a themed wall (leading into Lift #2 brakes)
  • -Possible fast S-bend in the 2nd half, before the overbank nearest Verbolten (Phoenix Rising has a similar one)
I do expect this to be closer to reality than our initial prediction, but obviously, our guesses could be wrong. These are just based on footer locations, after all. Excited to see the real ride soon!!

Doing the Lord's work.

Ok Zachary it's now almost Wednesday...I'm gonna go ahead without you. I went on opening day of HOS Williamsburg and Monster Manor is top notch, although no good views of the new ride. #RevengeOfTheWolf

Hmmm the last post on BGWfans X account is still the one about skipping out on opening night of Williamsburg's event and choosing to hit up Florida instead...and then we get unrelenting trash talk of BGW when there's finally time to speak on it. I really wish people didn't feel the need to trash talk about our park so much.

And if I had posted about the event on Sunday, it would have been nothing but criticism because the event was horrendous. I held my tongue for the time being.

But again, this is the BGW 2025 coaster thread, not the Howl-O-Scream 2024 thread. Please keep Howl-O-Scream discussion to the correct thread (linked above).

Back to the B&M family invert.
