I guess the only thing I would add to this is the KM people fighting tooth and nail to prevent any "encroachment" towards them. As for rides I would think the noise level would be far above anything those people would accept. A hamlet/village may be a better plan and could probably be built faster to meet the 50th anniversary. Personally, I would like to see some of it used for an enclosed area for a restaurant. I've often complained about the lack of a place to eat with indoor seating. Think A/C and heat. At present the only place is the Festhaus and it reaches capacity more often than not during the summer months.

Do new hamlets increase the stock price. I’ve heard just coasters do. Asking for a friend.
probably. would be a BIG marketing marketing push. but given SEAS extreme hesitance for anything theming I am expecting the new hamlet to be Medieval Germany so they can just throw up some tents like at a RenFest.

Having a hamlet reach all the way to the boneyard is a pipe dream I think. It's double the distance from Festhaus to the Boneyard that the compass is from Roman Rapids.

I think as the article states, it's hard to decide if this is a whole new coaster, in addition to DS, or something else. I think in a few weeks, watching for where some clearing comes in would be the next thing to watch. If we don't see where the dip of DS should be getting cleared then I think that's been scrapped. Yea, you could say this is a no duh type reaction, but if DS wasn't cancelled they should likely start movement on it soon.

I think the interesting thing is (and a 3D map would really help show this) there's still space on the "infield" of DS to put a station, have a lift/launch go over DS's launch section, and make use of the boneyard. And I know no one else brought this up, but I'm going to rule out something before it comes up -- I don't think that using a hamlet here to close off the Festa Italia dead end. The bridge alone would be double the length of the Oktoberfest -> San Marco bridge.

@Irishman - I wouldn't be too optimistic on that, there was a coaster package deal with Intamin. Unless DarKoaster was done to fulfill that contract to open up other manufacturers for the Festhaus Field project.

For what it's worth sources that have been incredibly accurate for a while are telling me this is a totally separate project from Spire.
Oktoberfest having 4 coasters would be….something. Especially with that small space to get back to FP.

Perhaps we will see an RMC, given the success of Iron Gwazi?
They've (RMC) been hinting at some new exciting projects on Twitter lately. Going back to the balloons in April, that would fit into their wheelhouse in height (and gives some differentiation from Twisted Timbers) I'd be excited with what they could do ground-up with a solid SEAs budget.

But that's just me going down the speculation rabbit hole.

Wasn't there talk a storage warehouse going in near that area??
No it's close by but further down the tracks. Stuff is already on site fore that so it's extremely unlikely to be moved.

Yeah also crossing my fingers for this being a new country with a large scale coaster attached (preferably a Gwazi sibling). Very exciting news!
Agreed! Hoping that if we see a new country that there are offerings indoors (Restaurant, attractions, coaster) to go along with year around ops and to have a break from the heat in the summer!

This is far out there but if they do add a new hamlet… PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us get a darkride. Those rides are indoors, heating/ac, people eaters, and can be themed really well when done right. I want a spiritual successor to darkastle with a new darkride, even if it isn’t a continuation of the story.
