And no it's not a congressional hearing (those are far less useful ha!) But obviously lots of us take news of the ride seriously. So it's perfectly within the realm of this conversation to ask where certain "info" is coming from. Basically, why should any of us take anything any of the so-called experts say for fact? Horsesboy generally does a good job of being neutral but I could just as easily state I have inside info about this and that ride. Anybody could literally make up anything they wanted under the banner of anonymous sources. So how will we ever know if these assertions about budget cuts to BBW2 were true? And how do we know the end result will be different from the "original" plan? Seems very obvious people claiming to know what's going on with BBW2 or it's development may not actually know that much at all...
If you're new here you have 2 options. You can distrust everything you see without proof; or you can trust the opinions of others as to who is a reliable information proxy. Once you've been around for a while and see how the info turns out you can form your own opinion. Or since you mentioned "due diligence" you can go back now and read through the prior claims users have made.

There certainly does seem to be more bad info going around these days. Nothing on here is normally vetted, but many users have good track records. When these users say stuff, it's for sake of conversation and because they want to share. If there was publicly verifiable proof, they'd probably give it. Berating a user for proof will probably never result in anything positive.

It's not combative unless you are choosing to interpret it that way. It is not unreasonable to question assertions which are in effect placing doubt in the minds of the people here who are following the developments of the BBW2 construction. So yes I have questions when someone professing to have inside knowledge about budgetary considerations throws out a bombshell regarding budget cuts to the ride. It's called due diligence

I strongly disagree in fact I don't see how anyone can read anything but deliberate combativeness and antagonist in the in following quotes.

It's more confirmation than we've gotten from the previous "reporting" on budget cuts.

If you are looking for reasons to shit on BGW you will surely find them - and/or make them up. Maybe go shit on another park/ride for a bit and give us a breather?

I just find it funny that the so-called experts will go out of their way to "report" some kind of budget cuts to make this ride sound like it's going to be a disappointment and not even give any concrete evidence. And this is coming from a couple of folks with fancy titles, so I guess that makes what they say gospel 😂😂😂 thanks for the insider info

Again I personally don't care if you believe it or not. But I do take exception to multiple instances of my honesty and integrity appearing to be questioned. You ask for proof now I will return the question what proof do you have of the claims you have made or implied that I don't have sources or knowledge of the situation?

Yes I agree some of the comments on here are tiresome and add nothing to the conversation.

K I'll try again next time. Is there possibly a way to just have a string of comments on a particular post without it being in the main thread or are we just relegated to emojis for reactions to specific posts?

No.

Yes, you have every right to question where his information is coming from. However, he has been on ParkFans WAY longer than you and has a good track record with his sources. I must point out that not everyone can or will reveal their sources because it could potentially put their job/career in jeopardy.

I would like to point you to the same thread @Nicole referenced earlier.

I would also say it's not the questioning but the tone of it and repeated badgering after an answer was given that was the issue.

Didn't pantheon get big budget cuts from the orginal? And with how darkoaster turned out and seeing verbolten go down the shitter... it's no suprise if they take budget cuts. That said though I think its going to be a fantastoc ride/addition. This begs the question though will this be the last "family" style coaster fir a veey long time? We got a family woodie, a indoor family ride, wolf if the new family outdoor ride, verbolten is the stepping stone for the more intense rides.. what the hell else does the park need besides 1 giant flagship?

Flats, multiple new flats and hopefully another indoor attraction. I think there are many things to do prior to another coaster.

My dream and desire would be to see them take a few years off from coaster addition. add a couple of nice family size flats around Wolf so that it's not sitting by it's self in a back corner of the park. Then add a new indoor ride in the sim building and in 3 or 4 years add an RMC or other big coaster. I think from a well rounded business perspective that is the way to go but who knows.

I've always considered Loch Ness Monster to be Busch Gardens flagship attraction. It's not a ride that agrees with everyone but neither is a 350 foot B&M giga.

I think flagship is a open air opinion. From a enthusaists perspective pantheon is. From someone else it could be what draws the attention from anywhere.. like a fury. I will never see lochness as a flagship since i got my opinions on it. But it is what I see on interstate billboards

Iconic yes, flagship no. But as MrBraderd said, it's an opinion.

When I hear flagship coaster I don't think biggest, wildest, fastest, or even most thrilling I think of the coaster most famous for the park. For Carowinds that is Fury, Great Adventure was Ka, for Hershey I would say Commit for BGW it's hard to imagine another choice but Nessie that fills that place but that is just my opinion.

I can see that. Makes sense
