I noticed a lot of inside/outside and from/back convo in regards to rattle.

Anything anyone can say about right vs left experience with the elements?
I rode on the right side in the middle and i felt no rattle whatsoever

The ride doesn’t rattle at all. It tracks perfectly smooth. It “bounces” a little bit.

I’ve only ridden the very back right and back left in both seats and thought that both sides ride the same with the outer seats providing a slightly more bouncy ride.

Rapterra really is a ton of fun. The seats are super comfortable and the bounces aren’t super jarring and sort of add to the ride imo. I prefer the outside seats personally.

No shakiness or vibrations or anything like that. The coaster tracks excellently, the seats just like to bounce a lil bit.

For those that are still concerned about the bounces, please again remember that every single other B&M Wing coaster does this and that it just comes with the design.

I’m waiting for a few more rides to do a full review but so far Rapterra is genuinely one of my favorite B&M products as of late. It really is a lot of damn fun!

I agree with RollyCoaster - there really isn't any rattle. At all. There is some bounce, but that's the case with every wing. More than likely you will get at least as much bounce in your vehicle traveling on I-95 to get to the park. And the parking lot is significantly rougher than the coaster.

I have ridden a couple of times on each side and don't see a difference in bounce from left side to right side. There is more bounce in the rear compared to the front (which is super smooth), and there is more bounce in the outer seats compared to the inner. But these traits should not be unexpected.

2. Just before closing, a pair of guests exiting Rapterra attempted to exit the ride through the tunnel leading to the launch track. I will assume it was a mistake on their part, but I heard one of the operators say this happened twice yesterday. Wouldn’t be surprised if they eventually install an automatic gate like Dominator has, though that may require a full ride reprogramming to add that into the 'system'.
This reminds me of the year i was a ride op on flight of fear, a guy stepped through the train on the load platform and tried to walk in to the area behind the control board. When i asked what he was doing he said “where’s the bathroom” 😆

I have not had the chance to go up there yet but I am really pissed that disrespecting the queue has just been a common thing that parkgoers have collectively decided to partake in with this ride considering how much hard work went into getting all of this together and how 'privileged' KD is to get this level of theming. They need to have at least one or two staff members monitoring the queue in these first few weeks to make sure people aren't cutting the line and tearing it apart already.

I only got two rides so I need to ride more to really get a better opinion. That being said, I rode left side back car wing seat as well as right side front car inside seat and based on those two initial rides I would put the elements as follows

Wing over - enjoyed the left side more due to the sensation of being over the track and nearly inverted. That being said right side on the front was fun because of the optics of the track right there

Dive loop - to me was the same on both sides

S curve - I think I enjoyed the left side better here, but honestly could go either way. This element didn’t feel like I thought it would, but maybe after warming up would hit a bit better

The turnaround over the midway was more enjoyable on the left since that puts you closer to the path but the wing slide I enjoyed on the right more since I felt like I got a touch more floater there

Corkscrew was good on both

Airtime hill was good on both. I wasn’t expecting any actual airtime but there was a nice float in it

The raptor roll and final turn I enjoyed in both but the right side was my favorite for these.

Absolutely can’t wait to ride this someday. Haven’t been to KD in over 6 years (we’ve had BGW passes since 2020 instead), but I’m hoping to go back in the next year to check it out. As someone who grew up going to KD as my home park and loved Volcano, it seems like this is a fantastic addition to their coaster lineup!

And, to be clear, anyone who is intentionally tearing up scenic/throwing rocks/whatever else should be escorted out and trespassed from the park on the spot. I have long believed Kings Dominion's rule enforcement is far laxer than it should be. Can't show even the tiniest bit of respect for the park and/or other patrons? Hope you enjoyed your final visit to Kings Dominion—now get out.

They should have security do walk throughs of the queue regularly and protect their investment, as well as staff an employee dedicated to queue management in station for escorting people properly but not a harness checker.

Now that we’ve seen Rapterra generate a 3+ hour wait, out of curiosity does anyone know if Pantheon has hit a 3 hour wait before? I’ve never gone on a Saturday but I’ve never waited more than 45 minutes to an hour for Pantheon. I know the first weekend after it opened they had a temp queue set up with switchbacks.

I feel like Saturdays for Haunt Rapterra will hit 3-4 hours easily.

Something Universal doesn’t great job with. All attractions have a QP, or Queue Patrol—someone to go through the queue and extend/de-extend the queue, pull the trash, and monitor the line as a whole. They also usually help run breaks too.

Felt the bounce! Strangely didn't notice much on my first 2 rides, different days. Both towards the middle, inside seat next to another rider. In 2 hours yesterday I got 2 rides on Dominator and 7 on on Rapterra with a break to absolutely rip through a shrimp and mac. The ride back row rt. inside without a rider on the end was quite rough. There's a bump in the back coming out of the S-turn, which I find has interesting forces. Front row was great. The last 2 were back L end. The wingover does have some more pull there. It was rough and the reride hurt, don't know how much it was just getting to me. It was next to another rider but next row was empty and probably the other side for that lap.

Getting off the coaster, felt like a sore throat at first, but it was my collar bones from the vests.

Just got my 2nd Rapterra ride.
Front Right Outer. It was awesome, up there I see why people love the launch, it seems to go on forever.

S turn rocks, the momentum you carry out of it is awesome.

Airtime hill was nice, sadly not quite as forceful as Griffon speed hill.

Raptor roll is so cool lateral hangtime.

Then we came back to a broke down train, and sat on the brakes for 15 min, before finally making it back to the station. I’ve never seen a B&M break down as much as this one.
