Here's to hoping they do SOMETHING with the station. being in the station and all you can see is FOF's exterior wall is... not great.
I think they’ll do something with all of that over the next 3 months, no need to have every atmospheric piece set today.

yeah it's not the "atmosphere" that's an issue.. it's the structure of the building.. it's ugly. The light fixtures are already on the ceiling, indicating that there's not much work to do on that, and it just looks like some quickly set-up outdoor concert venue. additionally, the standard metal queue railing with no unique or themed characteristics is not a good sign.
Love this, but the station looks like something from Jiffy Lube Live

I do like the refresh on FoF - its better than airport hangar white with everything next to it.

If you were expecting a full temple themed station after the announcement that's on you. It's clear this will be some sort of Whey Foundation building. There's still plenty of time to make it look presentable in that context.
is looking "presentable" the mere end goal now? thematically it does not make sense with Tumbili being a temple and it's reasonable to question the downgrade from Tumbili to what is now Pantheon-level theming. how is the park letting an S&S freespin outshine the area's headlining attraction?

I'd much rather have a plain station and nice looking surroundings than a nice station and then being dumped onto a parking lot or into a warehouse.
Just to be clear it's ok to dump it into a cow pasture since that isn't on the list right?
Technically speaking, Tumbili’s station is a couple of suspended Whey Foundation tarps and canvasses. It’s the maintenance building that actually looks like a temple.
I think what @the_pantsmith was alluding to was that the station doesn’t necessarily have to represent the temple. Based on the renderings, it looks like the temple will be some sort of stone structure in the queue, while the station is sort of a Whey Foundation dig site camp setup. Which makes sense story-wise and fits aesthetically. And technically, Tumbili did it first.
The station doesn't look complete yet to me. In fact the walls are not even up yet. But for the sake of argument I will say what I said earlier that structures like these are not exactly out of place in long term open pit archeological sites. I have included a picture of the Chinia's lost army site for reference.

I get the arguments to why the stations being the way they are but it feels like excuse making.
I would be ok with the station being as-is, but that FOF wall is just bleak. Some greenery between them would be a good break. Doesn't even have to be huge trees, just enough to block the station-level eye line.
Yeah, I know it's the middle of winter, and there's a good chance that any planting won't get done until March or early April.
Will it look nice in the end? I certainly hope so, and the existing stuff was well done, so my hopes are up.
Does it look a bit disappointing now? Yeah, it kinda does. I will reserve judgement, but the current photos do look sparse.
