They only have a temporary fence around this part, I wonder if they have something more planned for that spot. It is right next to the Reptilian cave, they could extend that into a Mount Kilimanjaro sized mountain, maybe a little bigger, and make a cave near miss there. Idk I feel like they have to have some sort of plan for that cave it’s still open on the side facing Rapterra.

The other thing to consider since the train was launched from a standstill rather than what is supposed to be rolling launch: it more than likely rolled back and reset on the previous cycle just before those clips were shot. They probably generated *just* enough power for it to clear the first element right after that.

I wonder how much of that rattle was due to empty seats. Given B&M's recent track record I'm not super hopeful.

Worth noting that because of the seats being on the outside of the track, we noticed it more. However, watching the video again, it looks to run butter smooth through the rest of it.

Looks more like a dip in the middle of the launch, at least for the right seats, and more visible towards the front so can't see enough of the left side. Only goes up/down once or twice, but covers a significant distance. I don't know you could see a "rattle". Whatever it is, the rest doesn't have it.

I think this looks super fun. I agree with hoping the top hat, or whatever that is called, is like that. I also hope it launches from a standstill like it does here, but I suppose that won't be the case.

I’ve seen some thoosies speculate those weren’t happening because……they are not built right now? It’s November why do they need to be up now?
I know they could still build them after the fact but - aren't things like that normally done at the time stay start doing some testing? They need to make sure there's clearance all around.

Additionally there's the issue of if they build it after the fact and something falls it can damage the track, which means bringing in a new piece of track, which can get VERY expensive depending on where the track is and the sensors attached to it.

Just imagine the cost involved if most the queue is built and stuff planted, then they are making an arch over the launch section, and something they are building falls on the track and dents the track and damages the launch fins. The fins are expensive, you need B&M to build, paint match, and ship the track. Then you need to get a crane back there to remove the old track, bring in the new one, and that's going to potentially damage the queue or foliage that's planted.

It's possible but unlikely do to two factors.

One being that usually the manufacturer wants those type of things in place before the do fit tests and hand it off to the park so that they can sign off on clearance.

The other is B&M over engineers and is paranoid as heck about things over tracks that is why Griffon has the protective mettal cage over the area that the sky ride crosses so that in the event the sky ride falls it doesn't hit the track.

Both add up to significant skepticism that B&M would sign off on a post construction add. Insurance usually takes a dim view on doing ride changes without a manufacturer sign off so most likely if it's not done yet it's not happening.

He kept bringing up the fact that this is the last piece of the puzzle for Jungle X. We know I305/P305 is going to be included next year, but does this mean that FOF and Backlot are going to stay as is until removal? I hope this doesn't mean that they have no plans for reimagining these attractions into the lore and theme.

Good point too. I feel like I remember hearing from Hershey people that the reason they didn’t work with B&M for a long time is because of how fussy they were about Big Bear being built over and around other things.

IIRC at the time B&M put sand in the supports and spine to help with sound and vibration. They didn’t for Big Bear because of the stress on unique supports due to the creek. This is why it has such a distinctive sound for a B&M.

But I can see B&Ms attitude being why nothing else gets put up. Then again given Legacy CF people are in charge and they’ve gone against OEM manufacturer recommendations before, wouldn’t shock me if they do what they want anyways.

It seemed to me that he was specifically referring to the animal temples — notice that he immediately begins explaining the temples that have been “discovered” so far. The lore since 2022 was that three temples had been discovered and three remained undiscovered. With Anaconda apparently brought into the lore as the snake temple (as supported by the new snake statue in the Site X scare zone during Haunt) and 305 becoming Pantherian, that leaves Rapterra as the sixth and final temple to be “discovered.” Backlot and FOF could eventually get a Jungle X retheme, but they won’t be temple themed because all the temples have been “found.”

Also worth noting that the spokesperson started describing the theming in the queue and the ride area but stopped himself, noting that he didn’t want to spoil all the surprises. That doesn’t necessarily mean there’s more on-ride elements on the way, but it definitely sounds like the park has some tricks of its sleeve that they haven’t shared yet.
