Just wanted to share some personal photos from yesterday of this beautiful train! I honestly think it’s perfect - not too flashy, but still gets the job done with just the right amount of detail, nice colors, and most importantly is going to look stunning soaring along that green track while complementing it super well.
As others were saying earlier I don’t know if the intent was to pay homage to Volcano with the coloring, but I’d be lying if I said I couldn’t see a little bit of Volcano in it.

In the zero-sum situation of budgeting a coaster, this is the perfect amount of theming for a car. The “wings” on the wing are unexpected and appreciated, it’s rare that you get to enjoy the theming of a train once you’re actually on it. Home run imo.
Man, they are great looking trains. I hadn't seen the photos of the artwork/colors elsewhere on the train. Thanks for the pics!
Looking at the later pics looking down at an angle, the holes are eyes and it makes sense. If it runs half as good as that looks, we have a winner.
This is going to be so fun!!! I’m sure the rest of it will speed up, but reallyyyy hope that the top hat stays the same.
That launch sound is music to my ears.

Yea I noticed that, very strange
God it's beautiful though. Im on the fence on wether I like the slowing pace or want it faster. Im leaning more towards the slower angle, that top hat is going to feel awesome like that
Yes. Thunderbird’s does the same thing and you barely feel anything. Bouncing and shaking is always going to be more noticeable on straight track sections especially with winged seating. I promise it’s going to be okay.
It could be that the run was its first or second test and it's just warming up to the track. I also looked back at Thunderbird's opening year and it bounced a little bit too.
I think this goes to show that a ride replacing an icon (volcano) doesn't HAVE to be related at all to its replacment and it will sit just fine. I remember people were all like "ugh well they better make it volcano themed or build another volcano" something along those lines.
Are they are purposely stopping it for testing or does this mean it’s not a rolling launch? I’m not familiar with this fase especially with a launch coaster.
More than likely the ride controls aren't finished and they are manually launching the train using the launch's microcontrollers.
looks like the trains they're using now are different from the ones released at IAPPA. Are they only going to have one themed train?

We're definitely watching this coaster run as cold as it will ever be. Once it begins utilizing its rolling launch, it will take the layout significantly faster. There will most likely still be a slight stall through the wingover, but it will be going several mph faster through every element once it warms up in addition to the rolling launch.
They probably just haven't stuck the stickers on yet.
that is true and a good thing. I am glad we are getting AlpenFury at cw because what is also true is that rollercoasters shooting really fast out of giant mountains are really cool and it'd be a shame if that concept was never revisited.
